The E-Class gets sporty for 2009. Borrowing a design option from the C-Class, Mercedes-Benz offers a new Sport Package for its 2009 midsize E-Class luxury sedans. A Sport Package, which drivers can add to E350 or E550 sedans at no extra cost, includes aggressive sport body-styling, a sport steering wheel with shift panels, and 18-inch AMG five-spoke wheels.
Updates for the standard E-Class Luxury sedan also include new seven-spoke, 17-inch wheels with all-season performance tires. In addition, drivers can add Mercedes' 4Matic all-wheel-drive system to E-Class sedans at no additional cost.
As in previous years, drivers can choose from a wide array of E-Class vehicles, with a variety of powerplants and upgrade options. In addition to the E350 and E550 sedans, E-Class trims include the E350 4Matic Wagon, the diesel-powered E320 blueTEC sedan, the V8-powered E63 AMG sedan, and the E63 AMG wagon.
All E-Class sedans seat five passengers, while the wagons seat seven passengers. The E-Class's standard 3.5-liter V6 powerplant, which powers the E350 Luxury sedan, the E350 4Matic sedan, and the E350 4Matic wagon, generates 268 hp, while a 382-hp, 5.5-liter V8 powers the E550 Sport sedan and E550 4Matic Sedan. A fuel-efficient 3.0-liter, six-cylinder turbodiesel provides power for the blueTEC sedan, achieving 23/32 mpg. For the top-of-the-line E63 AMG sedan and wagon, a 6.2-liter V8 engine generates 507 hp. Other features for the E63 AMG sedan and wagon include an AMG-calibrated Airmatic suspension and AMG-enhanced Sensotronic brakes.

I love it. It’s my 1st Mercedes Benz. I’ve driven a few gas E 350 Models and up. I liked the features well enough to buy a Benz. The diesel 2009 E320 BlueTec is great and barely breaking in at 219K. I can afford to put $$$$ into the ride with the sticker price as low as it was. I wanted an affordable daily driver suitable for my elderly ma. This little jewel checked all the boxes for driver, passengers, features and security from theft. My truck was stolen and the catalytic converter went too. Diesel cars don’t have very much precious metals inside. Harder to steal and not as attractive Overall this was a feel good purchase and I am enjoying the drive. Feb 23, 2023

Would buy again. Good family cruiser and comfortable commuter car. Good mileage for size and weight of car. My wife drives it and likes it a lot. It's my first Mercedes and I found a Mercedes specialty shop for maintenance/repairs that is way cheaper than dealer but more expensive than my normal mechanic.Jun 25, 2013

Built solid.: no flex., squeaks or rattles, corners great, controls at your fingertips on steering wheel, doors shut with a solid thump, engine silky smooth with 382 HP on tap for passing or acceleration in a snap, excellent. high speed capability, great safety features -- plenty of air bags, pre-crash safety system, e.g., and the famed Mercedes crash-worthiness. Simply just love that car. Found oe with just about every extra
option available besides the diplomatic flag holders. Love the
distronic, massage seats, Avantgarde trim ( called P2 in the US I
think), light assist, heated back seats (children mostly),
vented/heated seats. The handling with sports package. Grear!!

The Performance of this car is unmatched by it competitiors at that time...The
Braking is reliable due to the 4 Run flat Tyres enabled with Disc brakes which is
equipped with ABS and ESP...The build quality is strong enough to withstand heavy
collisions...All Mercedes Benz Cars look sexy and everyone knows it...The mileage

Well I got this car just two weeks ago to replace my Lexus SC430...which, and I know many say is a "biatch mobile" i loved it. This overall has an engine that sings, The V8 in this car belongs here in the smaller body rather then the S. Build and NVH is perfection. Reminded of how much Daimler focuses on their Mid-Line best selling model! NO PROBLEMS, none, Harmon Kardon Logic 7 with 16 speakers ROCKS, and the Grey Birds Eye Maple is a welcome change from the "Yellow" Birds Eyes I had in the Lexus. Randomly Overheating
My vehicle, 2009 Mercedes Benz E350 W211, randomly overheats with “Overheat icon” on the center dash display, and has been for nearly two months now. I had an engine misfire on the interstate around this two month mark as well. I have spark plugs and ignition coils to put on the vehicle still. I haven’t had an engine misfire since this time so I’ve held off on this installation, but plan to do so in the coming weeks. When this “overheat” occurs, the Engine Temperature gauge goes from 80 to 95 then to 75 then back to 80 rapidly all within a few seconds repeatedly. It can be stuck in this loop for a few seconds to almost a minute at times. It's very difficult to recreate this situation as I have tried to, and seems to go away randomly as well. It has happened when stopped at a light, slow traffic, on the interstate going 80mph. I used to think it was an AC compressor going out or malfunctioning when it would “overheat,” because I would have the AC on in the car and it seemed like it would trigger this “overheat” a bit after running the AC for a while at operating temperature. I then noticed the AC not being as cold as before, there was no flashing light indicating low freon (I believe that’s a flashing air recirculation button light), but I still checked the levels with gauges and all seemed okay. There was a light clicking that seemed to be coming from the compressor as well when the “overheat icon” would show on the dash once as well, and it seemed to be coming from the AC Compressor(only occurred when the icon would flash on my dash), but I’m not 100% sure. I still went ahead and still drained the Freon because the levels hadn’t been checked in the 3 years I’ve had the vehicle, then also vacuumed out any moisture and proceeded to refill the compressor with Freon, but it won’t take any. So that leads me to think the AC Compressor is on its way out because it isn’t accepting any Freon and charging up? Come to find out later though, the “engine overheat” still does happen when the AC and blower is off as well when out driving though too. I know this 2009 E350 has a clutchless AC Compressor so it’s always running, so could this still be an AC Compressor issue? I have a new AC Compressor, Accumulator/Drier, Expansion Valve coming in over the next few days to see if that could be the issue I’m having. The only recent work I have done on this vehicle is replacing the Thermostat and Upper Radiator Hose, as well as the Temperature Sensor on the rear of the engine block. The Thermostat and Upper Radiator Hose were replaced almost 6 months ago over the Winter, and the Temperature Sensor on the block was replaced about a month ago. I currently have PEAK 50/50 Antifreeze in the vehicle as well after flushing the coolant.

I have a MB 2009 E320. It went in to limp mode with codes P 0299.
After 3 trips to repair shop, and $5000…my car is still going into limp mode. I’ve had the following done: smoke test, new fuel filter, fuel line manually cleaned, EGR cooler kit w/seals and gaskets, and last a turbo actuator. The last receipt remarks state their is oil within the charge pipes. However the manager told me that all the upper end carbon has been cleaned The Turbo actuator was replaced which control the vane control. The converters were not cleaned or dpf which cleaning would most likely help the situation. They don’t offer that service. Then I had fault code 2359, and took locally to have it read and turned off. I then ordered a MB code reader. Will attach photos. Now fault code P0299. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I bought a new MB steering wheel with reference A1724607303, but at installation the control buttons for onboard computer and radio/phone do not work. I understand that I need a new contact plate other than the one at present in the wheel (A166 464 0817). Do you know which contact plate reference number I need for it wok p.properly ? Thank you.
