New functional side vents aid in aerodynamics, while a self-adjusting suspension provides improved performance as well as comfort for occupants, Infiniti notes. In addition, the 2009 FX35 comes equipped with Rear Active Steering, in which the rear wheels actively turn to provide quicker, more stable steering.
The 2009 FX35 retains its wide stance, which aids in stability and gives it an athletic appearance. In addition, the crossover vehicle features a front midship engine placement, which positions the engine behind the front axle but in front of the passenger cabin to help improve balance and handling.
A highly acclaimed 303-horsepower, 3.5-liter V6 engine powers the 2009 Infiniti FX35. The V6 links to an all-new seven-speed automatic transmission, which includes specially calibrated gears that enable the FX35 to cruise at lower rpms at highway speeds and reduce fuel consumption.
There's no mistaking the FX35 on the open road, with its eye-catching mixture of SUV and sports car design features. Inside, the roomy cabin comes equipped with such features as quilted leather seats, hand-stained maple wood trim, 12 sequential welcome lights that guide occupants into the cabin, eight-way power-adjustable front seats, and an intelligent key with push-button ignition. In addition, an advanced climate control system filters out particles to remove allergens and odors from the interior air.
The 2009 FX35 also comes equipped a number of innovative features, including Intelligent Cruise Control, which maintains a set distance to the car ahead at a range of speeds, and a Lane Departure Prevention System, which monitors lane markings and applies the brakes as needed to help you stay in your lane. In addition, an Around View Monitor parking assist system uses four exterior cameras to give you a 360-degree view around the vehicle, displayed on the in-dash monitor.
With the second-row seats folded, the FX35 offers 62 cubic feet of cargo space. A rear door includes a closure-assist system.
The 2009 FX35 comes in rear-wheel-drive and intelligent all-wheel-drive trims.

Luxurious SUV but with a sports car feel provided by the paddle shifters combined with an excellent suspension and transmission. Shifting with the paddles can be done at any time and the car eventually goes back to Drive on its own. This is the closest thing to a manual transmission I've seen. Acceleration of the V6 engine is sufficient, of course more would add to the fun factor. It's also very safe. It has many advanced technology features, like the 360 camera, the air cooled seats, the rear DVD with remote head phones, the CD hard drive. Very comfortable sitting position and very nice control panel.May 20, 2013

Great sporty car for the price of regular price. The seats are comfortable and the car handles very well. Equipped with bluetooth phone connection and the sound quality is excellent even from the other end of the call. Great car.Mar 24, 2013

This car is all around great. With all the features it has, it dies make driving and parking a lot easier and less stressful. The 360 degree camera system makes parking in tight spots a breeze, and the back up camera makes getting out of them even easier. Dec 05, 2012

Absolutely love it. Upgraded from a 2008 EX35 to a 2009 FX35 and couldn't be happier. Performance and comfort are outstanding. My only dislike is with the design of the bottom part of the front end (below the front grill). It does not appear to be as finished as the EX35. It could use an air dam or aero kit. A bonus is that there aren't that many on the road, so it's always getting attention.Jun 23, 2009
