The mid-size 2007 Nissan Frontier truck is a powerful and versatile hauler that seats four and is available in either rear-wheel or four-wheel drive. There are four trim levels for the 2007 Frontier -- SE, LE, Nismo (the sportier, more off-road-oriented of the pack), and the XE. All come in either Crew or extended King Cab, except the XE, which is just a King Cab. The XE features a 2.5-liter, 4-cylinder, 154-hp engine with either a 5-speed manual or automatic. All other
Frontiers come with a 4.0-liter, 261-hp V6 and a 6-speed manual or 5-speed automatic.
A new feature in the 2007 Frontier Crew Cabs is the option of getting the extended 6.1-foot bed that comes with King Cabs. Normally, the Crew Cab bed length is 5 feet. A new Appearance Package for the XE King Cab adds a snazzy chrome bumper and 16-inch steel wheels.
While the doors on the Crew Cabs open towards the front, like most vehicles, the King Cab rear doors are reverse-hinged, opening towards the back of the truck. They also do not open independently of the front doors. Though both types of the 2007 Frontier trucks can seat four, Crew Cabs only have a rear bench seat, while the seats in the King Cabs can flip up to provide more storage room. The bed can come with a bedliner and a Utili-track, which features storage compartments and trays, and even a bike rack. Heated leather seats are a much welcome option on LE Crew Cabs.
The power of the 2007 Frontier is always mentioned by owners, as is its sporty feel and suspension (which can feel rough to some). They also report a smooth transmission. The tie-downs and bedliners are recommended. Seats can be uncomfortable, the turning radius is pretty wide, and of course the fuel economy is not anything to brag about.

What owners say
"Overall, owners of the 2007 Nissan Frontier praise its powerful performance, handling, and spaciousness. They appreciate its great ride quality and are typically satisfied with its gas mileage, towing capacity, and features. However, some drivers noted concerns about maneuverability in tight spaces and specific issues, such as transmission quirks and paint quality. Most agree it is a solid, reliable choice for both utility and leisure."
My Nissan Frontier gets great gas mileage. IT CAN TOW 6,500 LBS!!! It also has great acceleration. The braking makes an interesting sound when stomped on. It provides a smooth ride. It is very fun to drive and handles exceptionally well for a truck. I have not needed any maintenance other than oil changes. I was in an accident with this truck and it did great through the accident. No complaints!!!
December 1, 2009Bought new in 2007 Nismo 2 Wheel drive without the Roof Rack. This has been an exceptional vehicle. No problems in 2.5 years and 32,000 miles.........NONE! Oil and Air Filters are the only maintenance done. Rides great, powerful, very good black paint.......I have owned MB cars, own a Lexus GS300, Infiniti's etc............bought this as a household utility vehicle and it is perfect! Even my "badge happy" wife likes to drive this truck......even asks me to borrow it and leave me the Lexus...I say NO.
August 31, 2009As Full Frame, Mid Sized Pickup Trucks, this truck was enough to break my 8 year ownership of GM trucks

March 24, 2008Truck runs great!! Ample ++++ power. 6 speed manual is fun to drive - and it shifts like a sports car, not a truck. It is amazingly quiet at speed. Body is tight and quiet, seems very well built. Interior is functional, not fancy. Headlights are the ONLY complaint I have. They are weak. Other than that - I would highly recommend this truck.
October 12, 2007Good looking, very solid, powerful and a very, very safe truck. Easy to maintain only requiring air and oil filters along with the oil change. Excellent condition for work or Saturday night out. You will love this truck just as I have.
April 22, 2012This is my 3rd Nissan Frontier,I went for everything except leather. My Jack Russell would have dined on it.The truck is quite, roomy and very responsive. The ride and cabin noise is excellent as in non-existent,they moved the parking to the center counsel. It is an awesome midsize truck.
May 16, 20072007 Storm Gray Crew Cab SE Long Bed, $23K. Have had the truck for a week and am really enjoying the cruising ease on street & highway. Use this truck for light landscaping duty - my business - but also for boulevard hopping & freeway duty. Rear seating smaller than Toyota, but seats better design overall. Like everyone I did a close comparison between the Toyota & Frontier, but after driving the Toyota and winging at the seemingly melting body & interior lines (plus I hate the bloated steering wheel center/airbag unity, the entire affect being somehow constipated, yet 1986 stale) I couldn't help but appreciate the Frontiers masculine exterior lines & no nonsense, humble, more modern-design interior. After all, the Frontier is not a compromise, its a superior vehicle in operation, handling & wow-appeal , resale values be damned.
May 13, 2007Sharp looking truck, handles like a truck should. Runs great and has decent gas mileage. I have no problems with towing trailers and also no problems driving during snow. Love my truck but need something with more inside room. You will not be sorry owning this truck.
August 19, 2013I got the long bed. It's awesome. It's got a great turning radius and can take a steep grade at 80 mph.
May 6, 2008261 HP, 281 Ft Lbs, Titan chassis, 350Z engine and transmission, what more could you ask for? Excellent handling considering the curb weight. Faster than a Miata straight line 0-80.
