it will start in the morning, but if i stop for gas ,it will not always start right up again, then i will have to wait awhile and it will start.

The most noticeable change for the 2007 GMC Canyon midsize pickup truck comes in the form of more powerful 2.9 L, 185 hp 4 cylinder and 3.7 L, 242 hp 5 cylinder engines. GMC also changed the transmission speed sensor and added a tire pressure monitor. As for aesthetics, the '07 Canyon incorporates new chrome trims and offers a choice between 15 and 18 inch wheels. All told, the Canyon features a whopping 26 trims. The trims come in three general groups: crew cab, extended cab, and regular cab. Regular cab trims seat either 2 or 3 and have 2 doors while the crew and extended cabs have 4 doors and seat anywhere from 4-6 passengers. The extended cab has a 6 foot bed while the crew cab has a 5 foot bed, leaving more room for the interior. Expect to get 17 mpg in the city, 24 mpg on the highway on average. According to the experts, the 2007 GMC Canyon offers smooth handling and one of the best 5 speed manual gearboxes in its class. However, the Canyon lacks the power, performance, and refined materials needed to cement a strong reputation for a top pickup. GMC has some work to do before reviewers desist from describing its Canyon as anything but grand.

Believe we got a good value on this vehicle. At 13 years old and 141,000 miles, the mechanicals were in good shape, save for snapped off bleeder screws at all four corners, resulting in the inability to bleed/flush the brake system to relieve a soft pedal. Comfortable, though a rougher ride than a car, which is to be expected as it is body on frame. Fuel mileage is acceptable, and power is readily available. I only wish that this era had the five and six speed automatics instead of the four speed. Thankfully, this truck benefits from the 3.7 Litre I-5 instead of the 3.5 which has (apparently) cylinder head issues.Jan 24, 2021

The turning radis on this truck sucks and I haven't got very good gas mileage (21mpg). Lots of space for a family! TPMS light comes on when truck is REALLY cold. Not enough power for my husband though. He says it's a real "Ladies Truck"Sep 10, 2009

I got this truck last year and in the year i have owned it it has been on the back of a tow truck more times than i have driven it. the gas mileage is terrible, the quality in the build itself is poor and all it seems to do is break, thake my advise and do not purchase one of these as they are one of the crappiest vehicles ive ever had the displeasure of owning, next time im gonna buy a ford.....yah thats right i said itAug 20, 2008

2007 GMC Canyon brake light issue
I've got a 2007 GMC canyon 4 x4 z71 package. A few years ago I went through the brake switch issue. Took care of it myself in about 5 minutes. Fast forward to now I have a situation where my lights are staying on but the brake lights are not working. Also my third brake light is not working. it's not the brake switch that goes under the pedal this time I've already replaced it again. Does anyone have any ideas for me as to what could be the cause of this issue? After going through it it does not appear to be a fuse. Thanks in advance for any help.

The handle on the emergency brake release broke off. Is it necessary to replace the entire cable or can the handle itself be replaced?
