The 2007 Ford Freestyle didn't change much from the 2005 and 2006 model years. This might be in advance of the model's replacement. The car hasn't sold very well from the start. This might be due to its lack of definition identity: is it a wagon or an SUV? Car or minivan? Kind of reminds me of Whatzit from the Atlanta Olympics.
Despite being an easy target for people more comfortable with cars that fall into one category alone, the Freestyle has received some good reviews citing its handling in poor weather and its spacious interior.
My 2007 FF will suddenly try to stall if I get on the gas too quickly. Replaced the ECU and fuel module. All check engine lights have cleared but the problem still exists just not as badly. Cruise control has quit working also. When it jerks and tries to stall, the security light comes on briefly.
How do you know if the electronic module is going bad
Recently, this started happening. Sometimes when you go over a bump, sometimes when you use the turn signal.
Rear coolant lines have a split and coolant is leaking, want to remove and either repair or replace the line. Just trying to get info on procedure to follow or what has to be removed. Does the gas tank or rear axle have to be removed, etc. ?
