Write a reviewAcura completely redesigned the MDX, from its engine to its corners, for 2007. The engine now has some real bite; while Acura stuck with a V6, it upped the size from 3.5 to 3.7 liters, the horsepower from 260 to 300, and the torque from 253 to 275 lb/ft. Acura claims weight reduction and high-flow exhaust systems help to provide tremendous improvements.
In the past, drivers complained about the comfort (or lack thereof) of the seats in the MDX. Acura hopes to quiet these complaints with the 2007 MDX - the second seat is designed to be as supportive as the front two bucket seats. Not much is known about the comfort of the third seat yet, but hopefully, this has been improved as well.
XM Satellite Radio remains a standard feature on all trims, as do leather seats and wood trim. The CD changer takes a variety of different formats, including CD-R/RW, CD-text, MP3, or WMA formats.
All in all, it looks like Acura has listened to its consumers in revamping their mid-size SUV.

Ive had 3 other MDXs and the research on this model does not measure up. I have a 2014 now and had a 2006 model for 13 years. I had a 2001 model that blew 3 transmissions. 2007 and 2008 Id avoid.Jan 05, 2023

The leather seats are Awesome, great quality . The blue tooth works well, My phone has always connected with system and it was easy to load contacts. I had a Taurus with Ford sync and it often disconnected.
It handles well on county roads, and has Acceleration to get up to speed on the
Highways. I like that the MDX isn't a Common SUV, so I don't see myself
Coming and going. It has the same entertainment system as our Honda, and

Controls hard to read at times and voice nav needs improvement .
Brake rotors tend to go out of round need improvement .

The 2007 is a much better performing vehicle than the earlier models. The handling, acceleration, interior, seating all feel much more like a sports car than a mini van like the 2003. This has come at the cost of interior room and visibility, which have taken a hit. Back seats are really tough except for very small kids, and rear seats are much more confined than in the 2003. Handling is excellent with tight steering and stable tracking. Ride comfort is also excellent, on par with my CL coupe. After two years still no squeaks or rattles. NAV system is well executed although it does take time to learn how to use it to its full capabilities. I like the exterior styling as well. Good cargo capacity and well-executed interior.
