New computer giving my 06' eclipse issues
My car broke down about 3 months ago. Its a 2006 Mitsubishi eclipse, automatic, I think rear wheel 4 cylinder. A mechanic of my dad's took it in his shop. I don't think he knows what hes doing so I'm trying to reach out for some suggestions with the information he has given me. When my car broke down I was driving to work not even going 30mph and the gas let up and all the lights come on the dash. Power steering went out. When my dad's friend took it in his shop he said it was the crankshaft censor. After he replaced that he said it still wouldn't start so he said it was the computer. Got a used computer but it wouldn't flash. So he got a new one. Put it in and said the fuel injectors wouldn't respond to the new computer. Waited a week later and called and he said there was some kind of wire pintch that it was saying it was something else but what it said was the problem actually wasn't. He checked all the wires and fixed that issue but now says once again it's the fuel injectors not responding. That's all the information he has given me within the 3 months he's had it. I'm not sure if that's enough information to give suggestions on what it might be or what he might need to try but I'm doing the best I can with 2 phone calls a week and having no way of going up there. I NEED SUGGESTIONS TO TAKE TO THIS GUY.
