My Oldsmobile alero is running hot after 15-20 the fans run sometimes but at a low speed I have new temp sensor, radiator, thermostat but still runs hot to the point that the throttle body gets so hot that the fuel evaporates and the car shut down till it cools then I have to put starter good in it. Please help me find the solution.
2002 Olds Alero 3.4L won't start after I changed the fuel pump & filter unless I pour a little gas in the throttle body port. Runs fine until I shut it off for a while then I have to ad gas to start, don't know why. I'm assuming it has to do with the car's security system, that's just how I'm feeling it....
I have a 2002 Alero that won’t start. At first I thought it was my fuel pump but found out it wasn’t. I let a mechanic look at it and he said the security system shut down my car and he had to disengage the system. My car ended up starting again after he did this. A few days later my car wouldn’t start again and now he saying it may be my ignition. I don’t know anything abt cars and just want to know does any of this sound familiar?
I just replaced my speed sensor in my Alero but I still have no working speedometer and my car still wont shift out of first gear. What else could it be? This problem started last night while I was driving home with my cruise control set. All of the sudden my cruise control turned off and I lost speed period I was unable to accelerate out of first gear and my car would just Redline my spedometer freaked out for a little bit before it went completely out. There was no signs leading up to this that I had any issues with my speed sensor.
My car would not start last week, so we changed the fuel filter and it worked for several days, now today it is doing the same thing. It acts like it wants to start, but it doesn't. Is it my fuel pump or alternator? Someone told me the fuel pump would just go out completely not sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. I don't know what to do or check... I hate to replace the fuel pump and then it do the same thing. HELP!!
