2001 oldsmobile alero
I had the all the speakers replaced it worked great for a short while but now the door speakers only work sometimes I've checked the wiring multiple times but figure out what's wrong back speakers still work though

Overall this is a great family car, never let's you down. Decent cargo room, ample space for the rear seat passenger. If maintained regularly, it runs like a charm. For me it is just not much fun to drive because it has an automatic transmission, I prefer a manual. Jun 12, 2014

I got my Alero from my dad when he got a new car. I have driven it for 5 years now and I have only had to put in a new alternator in it and it has over 200,000 miles. It doesn't have much power under the hood but the fuel economy is pretty good, average about 25mpg. Jul 28, 2012

not a bad little car , but not as good as my second car , its got some flaws but most cars do , maybe its just my preference on cars or maybe its actually not justt me but , the motor is strong only trouble with that is that its a v6 and take a good chunk of change for gas Apr 10, 2012

basic car with a 2.4 L four cylinder engine. rattles a lot kind of a money pit pooooooooor quality and descent styling. gas mileage is fine but could be better due to lack of power. there is really nothing fun about an over priced gm coupe..Dec 29, 2011

I loved my Ruby! Loved the fact that even though it left me on road when electrical system fried itself, it was a great little car. Plus being red got me noticed. If I could just find another one. I'd be happy.Oct 18, 2010

All around good car; fairly fast acceleration, not many squeaks or rattles, not many repairs needed either! love the look, ok gas mileage but could be better. pretty fun to drive, but probably nothing compared to something a little sportier.Jan 07, 2010

Very poorly made. It chews threw wheel bearing like you would not believe and there very expensive to replace. All kinds of little stupid things break on them. Like cruize control buttons, heater buttons, and fan relay switches. This was a know prob with these cars as well as the Grand Am's. Lousy car don't buy one.Nov 20, 2009

LOVED this car, hated to see it go. It was fully loaded (except sunroof). Great handling, but needed some expensive upkeep. Fuel pump alone was $500. Gas mileage was GREAT. Had great sound system in it. Loved everything about it but the repair bills.Sep 16, 2009

its an Alero. It sucks. What more do you want??? I get 550 or more kms on a tank of gas. At least I wan't cheap and bought the 4cyl piece of crap. You don't get alot of attention in an Alero. Pleople don't want to steal it. Aug 14, 2009

Performance- Great accleration and handling
Built Quality- Solid and strong car last a while
Apperance- a few scraches and dings but looks great
Cost of ownership- 33/24mpg on for a 01 is great

Great acceleration for what it is. Ran a 15.7 at the track (quarter mile)
Not the best in build quality thats for sure.
Looks k though.
Great car for the money, around 25 mpg average.

Hi all. So I have a 2001 alero, Sunday night I changed my battery. I had to buy a brand new one. Well Monday morning my car started up but later that afternoon when leaving my job my car just wouldn't start. My sister came to jump it no start, eventually had to tow it home. My service engine soon light is now on also. What could my problem be??
