The Cadillac Escalade emerged from a 1 year hiatus with a refreshed and re-invented set of specs. More specifically, pop culture's favorite full-size SUV added seating capacity, horsepower, and a 2WD trim. 2002 marks the first year in which you could choose between a 5.3 L, 285 hp V8 2WD trim or a 6.0 L, 345 hp V8 AWD trim.
The 2002 Escalade has 4 doors and seats 8. In addition, this SUV gets around 13 mpg in the city and 17 on the highway. Standard features that show up in both the 2WD and AWD trims include ABS brakes, cd player, air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, and power/leather seats. Sunroof comes as an option. If you want more standard safety features, take a closer look at the AWD trim, which has both traction control and stability control. Towing capacity averages out to around 7700 lbs. between the two trims.

June 14, 2009This truck has some serious power, it will get up and go before you know it you are doing 60 on a 35mph road. I believe it has a 5.9liter v-8. The interior is very nice, heated front and rear seats.
July 24, 201202 to 06 Escalades have been the most reliable for me. I opted for the 02 model, which has a bench seat in the middle. Least amount of computer controlled accessories. With the electronic ride control and air ride leveling in the rear. This is one of the best trucks for towing a 30ft travel trailer.

October 5, 2023The vehicle runs good and is very comfortable. The electronic air ride shocks are sort of a pain in the butt! They come up with a bypass system for these vehicles but if it isn't done exactly right you still have a warning light that will show up on the dash. It doesn't effect the way the vehicle rides or runs though, so if you can tolerate the warning light, this vehicle would be awesome for you.
May 7, 2014I purchases car 3 years ago and it has performed well.. Its been a dependable, solid, clean and attractive car. I did replace the fuel pump and water pump. The stability system is not enabled and that doesnt seem to affect the function of the car at all.

January 1, 2008Love everything about it but cost too much for a new one. I would buy the caddy again instead off a minivan or a Tahoe. This vehicle is smooth with quail ity everything inside. Even heated rear seats and rear air.
