I have a 2001 XLS montero Mitsusbishi. The engine light isn't on and it doesn't over heat. It runs, sounds great. It started losing coolant and within days when I put anti freeze in the reserve tank it runs right out. I have been to three shops and all say it a done deal, get rid of the car, but can't tell me why. Any help here? I love my car but no one seems to want to work on them.

I replaced starter in my 2001 Mitsubishi Montero 3.5L Limited 4wd, car starts but makes a kind of grinding or shaving sound, like scratching metal. I tried two different replacement starters (Auto zone and Advanced Auto parts), same results. Please help. Cesar
