It had a few minor cosmetic damage but to not even have 122,000 miles on it I would of been a fool to not get this vehicle I love it Apr 04, 2022

We just drove the Grand Marquis from Tulsa to Destin with no problems. At 70 mph, it feels like you're floating down the rode on your couch. I have a wife and a 1 year old that both require lots of luggage and the truck handled it, no problem. We got 22 mpg to boot. Aug 09, 2014

This car lasted a great while a good 12 years before everything started breaking up on it. now that it's nearing the end of it's engine life I think it's time to trade in for a new fuel efficient car. I will miss it a ton though! it's fun to drive, but ever since I've been having steering, handling and repeating shock issues; the enjoyment has gone down. All I can say is, it was great while it lasted!Sep 26, 2013

car rides nice on stock everything, your basic cheap tires dont really give the car its performance it basically needs. the gas mileage isnt great for someone that doesnt make a lot of cash. theres room for performance upgrades. for a 4000 lb car, 200 hp doesnt cut it, makes it sluggish even though its a V-8 under the hood.Jul 18, 2012

I may be a little biased about this vehicle, but I think it is the best thing since sliced bread for the average commuter. Acceleration, braking, and handling in this vehicle is a slight bit sluggish, but that is most likely due to the archaic Panther platform that this vehicle is built upon. However, the Panther platform is one of the most tested - and most reliable - vehicle designs ever built. Used over the years by numerous police agencies, taxi drivers, federal agents, and military institutions, the reviews behind this vehicle are rock solid and unchallengeable. The build quality is extremely solid, and its appearance is aesthetically pleasing (interior and exterior). The cost of ownership is about average for a V8 vehicle: gas mileage is 20 highway, 16 city. Maintenance is very affordable because of the amount of these vehicles that have been produced. In my opinion, this car is fun to drive. I can't really elaborate on that, because I do not know how to explain it.Nov 23, 2010

Performance isn't bad for as big this big of a car, its geared high, and
puts out plenty of torque. Gets superb fuel millage. I have reached 30
MPG on the interstate. Braking isn't bad. Handles quite well for a large
car, takes turn at higher speeds without loosing traction. Build quality is
excellent. You can tell in the ride, and feel of the car, that it's solid.
Appearance, I think one of the better looking models after it was
changed in 1992. Maintenance isn't bad either, cheap to operate,
maintain and repair (rarely needed though). Fun Factor is debatable,

Shift Lever Stuck in Park
The shift lever of my 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis gets stuck in Park and won't start. I have to change key position to 1 stop from completely off and then can move shift lever to Neutral where I can start it. Any suggestions?

Headlights Dash & Interior Lights fail to work
I have a 2000 grand marquis ls and my headlights dash and interior lights wont turn on at night when I turn my switch on. I changed my LCM and even changed the switch out still nothing. Ive changed fuses and all. Check wires and nothing seems out of place, I literally am lost
