The Cirrus LXi remained unchanged for 2000, but the base level LX model returned. The LX had been temporarily discontinued after 1997, but it was brought back for this year to fill the void left by the retired Plymouth Breeze. Both Cirrus models were available in four new colors, and child seat straps were added in the backseat. Once again, the Cirrus sedan was available with two engine options. The LX returned with a new 2.0 inline four cylinder engine, providing 129 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque. The LXi was powered by a 2.5 liter V-6, good for 168 horsepower and 170 pound-feet of torque. This V-6 was available on the LX as an option. Performance and fuel efficiency varied little from engine to engine. Both sent the Cirrus from 0 to 60 mph in about 9.5 seconds. The four cylinder achieved a 20/28 mpg rating, while the V-6 fell to 19/26. Both models were plagued by reliability issues. Common problems included brakes, electric motors, struts, ball joints, and excessive rust.

i wud recommend this car as a good family car and good for back and forth to work i love my chrysler so far best car i have driven .I wud love to have a chrysler 200 someday but for now will drive the cirrus Feb 23, 2012

It's got great power and good gas mileage. It is a safe and fun car to drive. the brakes are good. I just wish the parts were American made and not foreign...All in all I would still recommend this car.Feb 09, 2012

I hate that it is a front wheel drive vehicle.
I like that I own a car and can drive it to my work and home saftely with out bottoming out because that would suck.

Nice riding car with nice power from it's 2.4L engine. The engine revs up really nice when the gas pedal is pushed down. The trunk space is quite roomy. Interior is nice and has held up good over the years of kids and animals in it.Oct 21, 2010

I need more torque, the car drives really well. I like to think of it as a sports car and a luxury cross. I love cruising around with all of the windows down and the music blaring. The intake i put on it makes it sound better and gets better gas mileage.Jun 10, 2010

It's the most decent car I've ever owned! It gets me where I need to go but the seats aren't very comfortable! hey it's a carand yes it's fun to drive especially when i show people who've newer vehicles that I can out gun them. I can wiggle it better than they can like a pickup for instance! I've smoked trucks and cars alike! Sometimes i think newer cars are so lame. Rien ne vaut ma ptite Cirrus. Chrysler égale qualité et service.
j'aime son 4 cylindres mais pas sa transmission automatique.
Le confort et la tenue de route et la suspension tout à fait

for a 4 cylinder car it has quite a bit of pickup and will get you from point A to point be quite quickly and without breaking down on you. However, it is not a very fun car to drive.Jul 09, 2009

love the leather interior and just tinted the windows. she's pretty. It is my favorite color, silver and a little rust on back panel on the bottom that Im going to get fixed. It is a smooth ride. I love it.Feb 18, 2009
