What fuse controls the review mirror compass display ?
My compass light recently stopped working in my 98 deville ... I've checked fuse box diagrams and i haven't seen any mention made. Any help would be appreciated..

I bought this car new and have driven it since. It has been treated like a baby, was driven by my wife who was an excellent driver, and the car has always been kept in the garage. I provided faithful service for all of the 127,000 miles on it. It has been serviced regularly and I have the record of the servicing, plus anything done to the car, like new brakes, and replacement shocks. I got to the stage in life where I was unable to drive, so the car just sat in the garage. At the time it was put in storage it developed a bad leak in the coolant system. I have not had it checked to see if it is hoses, or the radiator, or something else. But it will not hold coolant and wasnt driven. I have listed it for sale locally with a price of $4000, which we have now reduced to $2800. With nothing exxcept the coolant leak, it has had no problems, and no fender-benders It will make the right party a wonderful set of wheels.Sep 02, 2022

I love the looks and feel of the car. Spending for maintaining the car can get out of hand quickly. The interior has more room than anyone could need. Nothing quite like hitting the highway in what I call the beast.Sep 06, 2014

Nouthing bad to say about this car, it has been really reliable rides really smooth. I had to put a little money into the engine but now it drives like a brand new car and the only reason why im selling it is, is cause im looking to buy a newer model cadillac.Nov 09, 2012

Clean, comfortable, smooth & worth every pennie, a pleasure to drive. With a Cassette Player, you don't have to worry about someone stealing your CD player or fancy stereo, and you can get tapes for $.49 each at the Goodwill. I like the gas mileage first, approx. 25 mpg on hwy. and 20-21 in city. It's comfortable, easy to handle, couldn't ask for better performance from the Northstar V-8 engine. It has bells and whistles on it I didn't think they would put on a car. Excellent investment. So far, in the 5 months I've owned this auto, I haven't found anything I dislike about it. I feel totally safe in this auto, with all the air bags in it, And the braking system is great. The car is absolutly beautiful. It has the leather interior that has been taken care of well since 1998.Jan 23, 2012

You can't beat the ride on a long trip, decent gas mileage for its size. My car looks and feels like a Cadillac should. I have had this car for 2 years and no service problems whatsover. The V8 Northstar has awesome acceleration, good for getting out on the freeway in merging traffic. Apr 15, 2011

the ride is a little soft compared to what i am used to, monte carlos and firebirds. although the absence of road n oise is nice for a car this old. enigne preformance is exciting as you put the pedal to the floor and you feel yourself sinking in the seat. straight a ways are a must for this car, quick turns or slaloms not a good thing. this car is fun if you enjoy long rides!Apr 09, 2011

i love this car, it has the 4.6 L northstar V8. it has a crapload of horsepower, as well as it gets great gas mileage. The caddy has seen the governor in action before. (For those of you that don't know, the governor is set at 150 mph!)Feb 07, 2011

My Car has high milage 175k + and it's pretty impressive.
Everything I am about to say is at 175k + Milage
• Acceleration feels heavy but smooth.
• Braking is pretty good putting in mind how much the car weighs.
• Handling is amazing, Steering wheel nice, smooth and sensitive.
• Shocks are really bouncy, so you don't feel bumps, but it's a big downfall on
how much weight or people you can have in the back because if its too much,
the back bumper will hit the ground on slight bumps.
• Had a few Radiator problems and the car heating doesn't work that well.
• I have a rag top, and it looks pretty nice and elegant. But it depends how you
drive it, it can look ghetto at times.
• The interior is all beige leather with heated seats, very spacious for a sedan
and it is fully automatic inside.
• I think it is well worth what it costs. I got what i paid for and more with this
vehicle.
• The car is a lot of fun to drive, it has very nice sound system, and everyone
knows it as the party car.
• This car has a Northstar Engine, what it does is when cruising, it shuts down 4
out of 8 cylinders to save gas. At 175k miles, it makes 25 mpg highway and 16

first the bad. not cheap to maintain. 8quart oil changes, and over priced parts, many not compatible with the regular Deville. On the other hand it's big and comfortable and goes like hell. 300horsepower 6.7 0 to 60, 15.1 in the 1/4, and capable of 150mph. bucket seats, floor shifter, analog gauges with tach and 150mph speedo, and can touch 29miles per gallon on the highway, if you stick it at 70mph. trunk big enough for a wheelchair and luggage. great brakes and doesn't handle to bad for it's size. however this car was never meant to be tossed around or raced. traction control and stability control keep you from finding the limits of this cars potential. trac can be disabled but then cars starts in 2nd, so no winter fun but. all said I personally love this car and would without a doubt purchase a newer one. not your grand dads Caddy.Oct 28, 2009

Instrument Cluster Repair
Recently had a new engine put in and the Car runs great. About three weeks later, I lost the center portion of the instrument cluster; only the fuel range on the left and the climate control on the right display. No gear selection, MPH, or any other info in the center such as tach, battery, or Oil life. Found one from the junk yard and plugged it in. Worked great for about 5 minutes and then once again I had the same symptoms as the original instrument cluster. Is there something else in the system or upstream in the circuit of the car effecting the Instrument Cluster and causing it to fail? Thank you All

Took out fuses to replace but car won't start now
The cigarette lighter went out so I changed fuse and then decided to pull out all fuses and put them back to make sure the were good, all were good. I check the cigarette light and it worked. Then later went to start car and it didnt start. Everything came on but just didnt start
