1996 Ford Probe: Prices, Reviews & Pictures

I was looking for a Probe long time ago, and I was about to fall for a 4cyl. Fortunately for me, plans changed I went fof the GT model. So far no heavy breaks, 128k kms and running well. When the engine is warm, it's just asking to kick in. I don't really eco-drive, I like to put my foot down from times to times and yet I can go around 500kms on full tank. I use this car on a daily basis, and I love take her for a ride in the countryside.May 19, 2014

its a low wide easy to drive and handle car its comfy at a persons height of 5'11" and thats pushing it the back seat is not ment for some one over 4'6" pelnty of trunk room easy to mod with tons of modding opportunitys capable of 113 stock till the ecu shuts your gas off easy to fix that though but its got a cramped engine compatment at the tiny 2.0 L version.Jul 27, 2013

I like this car a lot, because I could always get in it and go. It will take off and go if your in a hurry. It handles the turn really good I've tried just to see if it would. I would love to keep it, but I cant haul a four wheeler in it.Nov 04, 2011

Slow as dirt, buy boy was it fun. oh yes. handling was great. brakes were crap. I liked the Field goal headlights, they made it easy to aim for people or animals. protected driver in broadside collision at fairly high speed. Aug 05, 2010

Handles very well, sounds great, 30+ mpg hwy. Easy and cheap to work on. Comfortable seats. It's my toy and I enjoy getting to drive the car any time I can. Had it for 7 years and will have it for a long time to come.Jul 01, 2009

I love the Probe GT. It's black with tan leather interior. It looks great, drives great, and even being 13 years old, it can still turn heads. 1993 Ford Probe won Motor Trend's Car of the Year award, so I think that says alot about it's overall value and the impact it had on the market when it was new.Mar 17, 2009

I love my car and I always enjoy working on it and just driving it anywhere. Only downside is I wish it had some more power so I could race my friends and be able to keep up. I do love the good gas mileage, though.Feb 20, 2009

It was a lot of fun, but cost to much to keep it running. I'll never forget about it. It cost more to keep running than a car ever should. It had decent performance almost impossible to work on. Some day I would love to own another one when I have more money to throw away hahaFeb 20, 2009

Great handling, great power with the ZE swap, and some bolt ons....I cant wait to get mine all done up, and eventually turbo'd. they do prove to be fairly difficult to work on, however. Probe GT KLZE turbo t04eDec 22, 2008

it is sweet. good pick up nice looks and cheap on gas . car tends to not like cold weather and is very hard to drive in winter being small light and front wheel drive. overall the car is a fun ride and looks good. would be a definate buyer inmy eyesOct 23, 2008

it sucks. i hate it. i want a new car. this car is so freaking slow. needs better gas milage. has way too many engine issues. it handles like a dream. of course it has an upgraded suspension. i wish it had a V6 instead of the 4 banger it has in it.Sep 18, 2008

I like it a lot. it a has a 5 speed. umm right now i have got to put a new alternator on it. It set me back about 2 grand but i needed a car that was better on gas. it is a ton of fun to drive though.Aug 18, 2008

It is fast and has a lot of extras in the interior. It has a nice sound system. It has xm radio. I has 16" chrome rims. Brand new Fog lamps. I am Going to put a nice ground effect body kit on it. I am also going to put neons underneath.Aug 02, 2008
