how do i disarm the anti-theft system
The anti-theft system is not working properly and my car will not start? How can I disarm the anti-theft system and get my car to start?

The 1995 Mazda MX-6 sport coupe was available in two versions. The base (or standard) MX-6 was equipped with a 118-horsepower, 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine, while the higher-end LS version was powered by a 164-horsepower, 2.5-liter V6. A five-speed manual transmission was standard, while a four-speed automatic was optional. Standard features for the base model included power brakes, power windows, power door locks, and power exterior mirrors, as well as dual airbags, cruise control, a tilt steering wheel, and an AM/FM/cassette audio system. The LS added such features as air conditioning and a sunroof, as well as fog lights, an anti-theft alarm system, and alloy wheels. Options included anti-lock brakes and leather seats (the latter for the LS version only). Drivers liked the MX-6's styling, handling, performance, reliability, and ride. However, they also noted that the car's back seat could be cramped.

Pretty good car overall, very fun to drive. Handles really well. Everything in engine is easily in reach. Low cost on parts. Reliable- not many issues as long as you keep basic maintenance. Love the sunroof. overall a great car. May 21, 2015

very fast off the line and once you hit 3'rd gear theres no stopping this
car.handling is excellent and the seats are very comfortable.very fun car to drive
and race. This car has a very good engine and is perfect for just driving or racing

Got it as a hand-me-down, needs a paint job desperately. Is originally Hunter Green, but the interior is spotless and it's fun to drive. I've replaced timing belt, control arms, CV joints, window regulator, sun roof switch, and added a decent stereo. It gets great gas mileage and the price was right so I don't mind putting a little cash into it. It has 203k miles on it, but still runs like new. My only complaint is how hot it gets in the summer due to the exposure ratio of the front and rear windows to the interior space.Sep 30, 2010

Fast, fully loaded and fun. It is a great car and I think the it is one of the better looking cars on the road today. And it really handles. A Motor Trend road test had a 1994 MX6 pulling .90 G's on the skidpad with the stock Bridgestone RE-71 tires. The V6 is a perfect match for this chassis and body package. Very bright & response when asked to perform, yet easily tamed in traffic.

Handling is excellent on Megan Racing 2" drop springs with
2005 Mazda RX8 18x8" wheels, 225/45/18 Bridgestone
Potenza RE050A Pole Position tires.
Acceleration is excellent with the stock wheels on but more
is left to desire with the weight of the 18s.
Only other mods are front and rear upper strut tower bars,

The MX-6 is probably the best looking car to come
out of the early to mid nineties. The performance
isn't the best, but it certainly isn't the most terrible
by far. The MX-6 is a very fun car to drive. It's tight
in the corners and has a powerful midrange. It's 0-
60 is in the mid 7's, which isn't too bad for a car
from the mid 90's. At the time, it's 200 horsepower
2.5 liter V-6 was very unheard of.
The build quality of this car is pretty good, it's got a
really solid chassis and the whole car is put
together really well. The interior is put together
nicely and is pretty comfortable. Fit and finish on
the car is great too.
Gas milage isn't the best, about 26 city, 29
highway. It's not horrible but if you've got a heavy
foot, you'll empty the tank in around 300 miles.
You can buy an MX-6 LS in decent shape for around
$1500 now. They truly are becoming a classic
quickly.
I would recommend this car to anyone looking for a

Well its a lovely looking car hot with smart sleeky features its a sports coupe its performance is very good its a blue mx6 and i love it its got leather seats inside with hot sound and a lovely body who say i cant kick your ass in drags gome on guys thats a challenge... I Love EVERYTHING about it :) Its a smooth ride.. its easy on gas.. its very reliable. Its a quick one :) Tops out at 220 :) When i first got the car, i had to replace the brake lines and the carberator. The car runs on only good oil. but hey, ill treat my car :)Jul 12, 2008
