Handling is absolutely fun, very reliable, and fast, service cost is low, many genuine parts are available and for a low cost, I am very happy that I had a chance to buy this car and I am still driving it after 20 years.

Performance - nice fast and good handling. Nice brakes.
Build Quality - great quality.
Appearance - Both interior and exterior is great. Best there is on the market.
Cost of Ownership - a lot of gas goes there, but it's worthed. Not expensive
maintenance.

Nice spring summer car, that will last forever. I bought this car from a 85 year old gentleman
that when I saw it purchased it before I took it for a ride. It came from Florida only used in good weather. The m3 wheels realy give the car some POP.It has a new top. Just tuned. Deep sounding exhaustDec 17, 2012

I loved this car in Aussie, I simply couldn't take a trip in it without
smiling. If there was a "character" score in the ratings it would be off the
charts. Beneath it's faded paint, ratty interior, and less than adequate
power, was one of the most amusing, hilariously competent sedan
chassis I have ever driven. Add a 12" sub to the mix and it became the
ultimate wannabe thugmobile as well, which only added to my

This car may be old but it the four cylinder engine made the car amazing
at with fuel costs. The car is not very fast but never left me stranded even

Well I haven't had it even a week yet:
Performance
Acceleration isn't too bad however it lags within the first few 1000 revs
Handling is fantastic - even being a rear wheel drive which I'm not used to, this
car does an amazing job of sitting on the road around corners and straights - I
don't feel like I'm gonna bliksem out of control
The brakes are sharp. very sharp and doesn't take long to come to a complete
stop.
Build Quality
I live on a dirt road, and one does't feel a bump or squeak. its a smooth drive
and I'm genuinely impressed - even for an 18yr old car!
Appearance
Its still a stock standard car and the quality of the leather and interior is beyond
me. I had a Honda Ballade same year - the leather cracked very quickly - unlike
the BMW's
Cost of Ownership
Look its expensive on gas - but what do you expect from that amazing engine?
but yet I'm impressed with the manageability of its consumption! I haven't had
any maintenance costs as yet - will be sure to elaborate once I do!
The soft purr of the engine makes you feel like the silent type about to wipe out
your competition!

Nice little car BUT u have to add alot of mods to get some torque the only problem i would say is NO TOURQUE unless you add mods .
Fun to drive and surely looks nice and sleek.

perfomance: slow acceleration, good braking, handling could be better
build quality: been in one accident front end hit. no squeaks or rattles.
apperance: peanut buttter interior red paint wit black trim.
cost of ownership: gas mileage decent maintenance is high.

A classic in every sense of the word. style, comfort, performance and a head turner.
The 325ic is a dream to drive. Its V-6, 2.5 litre with 189 bhp will pin you to the seat. Iit hugs the pavement at any speed. Handling is responsive and accurate. As with all BMWs, it is solidly built, giving the driver and passengers a real sense of security.
Gas mileage is reasonable, averaging about 9 litres per 100 k.
And its all wrapped up in timeless styling.

Has over 240k on it and still runs like a champ. The ultimate
car for reliability. Very comfortable leather interior, smooth
and silent straight 6, perfect 50/50 weight distribution,
excellent handling and build quality. Great daily driver, gets

Despite it being a rather old car it drove and handled better
than most of my other cars. The engine ran strong despite its
age and milage (I brung it over its 200k mark) but little things
on it were cheap and could have had been make of better

I barely got to drive it I was helping the tow truck guy get it out of the snow from when my friend was taking me home and we lost control in the snow and went through a snowbank into a ditch and a tree. The car was a tank and we didnt get hurt and the fender only dented just enough to where we couldnt drive it Feb 19, 2010

The car drives and runs exellent great dynamics,good road handling.Taken in account the bulgarian roads,the cosst of maintainance are exellent.Great solid car, fun to drive , economic on long trips.Great appearance for a 15-year-old car.Good engine doesn't break like the usual VW,Audi cars,

RWD is the nuts and the torgue helps get the back end out :D could do with more bhp though 115bhp from a 6cyl 2.5 turbo is pants so i think i need to look for a few tuning optionsSep 09, 2009

Auto box a little ristricting on power, and is slow to shift to the right gear (even with the selector). Some body rust starting to punch through but all in all a solid buy for $8K. just about to put 170K kms on the odo.Jul 04, 2009

Cost of Ownership - Gas can be pretty, especially when you put pedal to the metal. But on the upside the services are quite cheap.
Fun Factor - It's really fun to drive as you can really go for it in corners.
Performance - Miss my Opel's darty pull aways but the BMW will easily catch it! Breaking is awesome and handles easily as well.
Build Quality - A very sturdy car, except for the seatbelt clip that rattles sometimes, no other real problems.
I would really recommend this car to anyone! It is not an expensive car and it's really easy to drive, real value for money!!!Feb 02, 2009

1 of the best cars that have ever owned the performance was amaising only down fall was the radiator and the tyres needed changing couple of days after ownin it it was fun 2 drive and when driven carefully it had a good mpg rag it and you got about 6 mpg apperarance was good as it had a m3 body kit on it i'd buy 1 again Jul 06, 2008

love driving my beamer, interior is crappy though, got it november 07 and three weeks after i got it, both front windows came off track somehow. really slow off the line, but the baby will fly once you get over 3k rpms in fifth gear. some other random stuff wrong with the interior which i guess is just wear and tear from the last owner, but definitely could be better put together on the inside. The car comes with a 2.5L Slant 6 cyln. Mine has a manual five speed transmission made from Gertag. They also came with automatics from GM. You could also get packages of upgraded sound system from Hardon/Kardon. Cold weather packages with heated seats. Traction control with bmw alarm system. My personally is a 325is the sports coupe. Which has the sport package on it basically meaning it has the sport M3 shocks and springs with a 19mm sway bar in the front and a 22mm in the rear.May 14, 2008

Enjoy this car, its the runt of 90's BMW sedans. The 18 in 318i is for 1.8 litre straight four cylinder engine. Only has 120 hp but works plenty fine since it is rear wheel drive. I am the third owner, got it in September 2007 and put a new engine in December 07. The car now runs fine and doesn't leak a thing. Is rather comfortable for me as a driver; never been a passenger in it yet so I cannot say if its comfortable that way.Mar 28, 2008

5 speed manual 318is, 128 horses, 125 ft-lbs torque. After market Dinan Cat-back exhaust, angel-eye head lamps, K&N air filter. Pioneer stereo, Amp and hook ups for subs (one day!).
For the 4 banger that it is, this car is one of the most exciting cars I have driven. It handles very well, braking is excellent, and you really cant beat the 45 miles per gallon on the freeway. It has a high red line and the Dinan cat-back ads a few extra horses and a wonderful sound. Perfectly comfortable, and fairly quiet ride. Looks much newer than it is. The only downfall to this 318 is the fact that it lacks limited slip which makes winter driving tricky. Mar 15, 2008

tight handleing and a peppy engine gives the e36 325i a great feel and sound. you will draw attention with a car like this. i recommend this car to anyone. Still not reving ! need help
Back after a trying to figure out why my car wont rev past about 3500rpm's. Run Down: (5 speed, does it in all gears, seems to rev a little higher in first) I put new plugs in it(gaped at .035), new air filter, swaped the MAF, just put a fuel filter in it (fuel pump was replaced 3yrs ago). I have no idea where else to go with this car, it starting to drive me crazy! Wondering if this has happened on any other E36's or do I just have that SPECIAL car? Any help would be great, thanks.
