The 1993 Toyota Celica did not see many changes from the previous year. Anti-lock brakes were now standard on the All-Trac, and offered as an option on the convertible for the first time.
The 1993 Toyota Celica was available in a variety of body styles and trim levels. The coupe was available as the ST, with a 1.6-liter, 103-horsepower engine; or the GT or GT-S, both of which had a 2.2-liter, 130-horsepower engine. The hatchback came as a GT or GT-S, and the convertible as a GT. The high-end model, the all-wheel-drive All-Trac, came with a 2.0-liter engine sporting 200 horsepower.
The 1993 Toyota Celica is beloved for its Toyota reliability and reputation in a sports car package. Owners say the car is easy to handle even at high speeds, and even more than ten years later it styling still turns heads. Drivers complain that the backseat is too small for most passengers, and it rides too low to be much good in the snow.

Despite all of the cons i had listed, none of them ever out weighed the pure joy i had driving this car. My father and I (he drove it many years before i inherited it) both loved the car dearly it was a member of this family. Recently i rolled her into a ditch and completely totalled her. Me and my sister both walked away with no injuries, and let me tell you it's terrifying to be inside of a turned over convertible car and yet she saved our lives. I'm currently in the market for the exact same car i'm not ready to let go of my baby. I'd absolutely recommend this car to anyone on the planet, but not until i save up the money for my next one; i can't risk these precious gems being bought off of the marketAug 18, 2013

Performance was quite good, handling was very sharpe especially with 4 wheel steering. Build quality was also good throughout. As the name suggests it was sleek, and stylish, interior was plasticy however! Used quite alot of fuel though, and fixing some Jap. only bits was very expensive! Dislike the engine loudness and vibrations but love the how small it is and the great gas mileage. Maintenance is relatively low and parts are cheap and easy to find. This car is fun to drive around the city and country.Mar 05, 2010

great car. reliable. fun.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------have had her for about a year and a half. 93' Toyota Celica GT 2.2-liter engine with 130-135 ponies, Automatic trany :/ fun little car to drive. just wish it was a standard. just recently fix a gouge across the passenger headlight and part of the hood and touched up the paint in various places. did a good job if i do say so my self. needs some more work here and there, runs like a champ tho.)

Automatic trans. 145,000 M. $2,000. good car. runs greats. it needed a some work just like all used cars. a motor mount, cv half shaft, rear struts, new brakes. fun car to drive. the first automatic i have driven since the reliant. jenny insisted i get one since she can not drive a stick. ugh, i abhor automatics but i think i found the best one i could for the price. been a year and a half now and still drivin' her.hoping my next one will be a 350Z. Fastest car i have owned....easy to mod...swapped 3sgte engine. and it still drove like a dream....the body is a unibody so if its in a wreck it almost for sure totalled. If you can find a cheap one to play with I highly recommend you buy it...Aug 23, 2009

This car was solid, reliable, and good-looking for it's age. I owned two, a green one and a white one. Both were fantastic. They still got me compliments, and although they are heavier cars and not that quick, they have enough get up and go to keep the average driver satisfied.Nov 24, 2008

Wonderful and easy to drive, about town and on the open road. You really feel like you are driving!
Good acceleration, fantastic handling.
Not too expensive to run, Insurance good and not as bad on fuel as I thought it would be.
The interior is basic and I would love to spruce it up a bit. The exterior is beautiful and sexy, takes my breath away.

The overall comfort of the passengers is very nice. The adjustable lumbar support and other seat adjustments of the driver's seat is fantastic. I'm 6' 4" and I think it's a limit, for the legs at least, and because we are sitting low there is plenty overhead clearance though.
Performance wise, the car is heavy so the hp/lbs ratio is low, though the torque is there. But keeping it in the 3800-5000 rpm range makes for a fun ride.
Downside is, this is for 2 persons only, there is no rear leg space when the front seats are completely backed-up. If you are tall, or until your kids grow out of their bucket seat, though sitting theme in there would be a hassle, so you should get rid of it when the kids pop-out.
Another downside: spare and performance parts. Spare sometimes requires Toyota parts exclusively, aftermarket are way too cheap in some situations (the rear brakes parts for example), so maintenance costs can sometimes be high, especially in high milleage cars.
And the ultimate stupid part: the vinyl side "skirts" right in front of the rear wheels, on the wide-body GTS model, they get full of sand and calcium getting in there, guess what it does after a few years... rust poping out from the inside. So get one that has been anti-rust treated yearly, especially for northen states and Canada, if you plan on buying this model.Aug 24, 2008

The car is generally a good car. An excellent beginner's car, as this car was my first. Aerodynamically stable, it cuts right through the air like a knife. Very good on gas, I filled it with $45 when gas was $3.59 a gallon. Can be a great daily driver, but if you are looking for performance bad car to choose.Aug 20, 2008

Not a bad little car. Was fun to drive because it cornered really well, but lacked the power in this 4 cylinder version. Breaks really sucked and I had gotten in my first accident. Was my wifes car during college and it was very dependable. Had some problems with the breaks a lot.Jul 30, 2008

Awesome perfomer all round, great acceleration on 15 psi boost. Grips all the way. Retro pop up lights, gorgeous styling. Only problems i have is fuelling the thirsty beast, and spares are a bit expensive. Best fun you can have for the moneyJul 02, 2008

overall great car, good looking, and decent power, built to last, very few problems and great with safety, however it is only a four seater two door and has very little space inside. i would recommend this car to anyone wishing to build a quick little car but in order to do so an entirely new engine would be preferred. engines for this car are not typically hard to find and the 3s-gte motor fits into the mounts from the factory.Jun 25, 2008

This is quick little 4 cylander w/ lots of get up and go. Even it has a quite a bit of power for how small it is, it has alot of gas milage. It kinda lacks in the audio department for only having a cassette player, which totally makes sence for those years... but now-a-days we need cd players or maybe even dvd players for those types of people. I originally got this car for my daughter, but since she didn't want to drive a manual transmission, I kepted it for myself. I've got 154K miles on it and it runs great.
