When I turned the key nothing came on after bout five minutes it cut on but it seemed like it was dead what could it be?

I have a 1993 Chrysler LeBaron convertible.I think its a GTC,but not sure.3.0 litre V6.Theres no spark when I try to start car.Replaced the distributer,checked ignition coil and relay switches,still wont start???
I have a 93 Lebaron convertible. The top stopped working the other day. I could hear the click at the rear relay, so I replaced the relay, but the top still does not work. Today I genently knocked/hit the hydraulic pump and the top started working, however I need to knock/hit the pump each time to get it going. Any idea what may be causing this? Low hydrualic oil or do I need to buy a new hydraulic pump motor for my convertible?
I need to know where the starter is. I can't find it and i need to know where it is
