Dodge tinkered very little with its 1992 Dynasty, adding childproof locks and an optional overhead console. Otherwise, this conservative, practical family car kept its base and LE trims and engine choices.
Base engine was the 2.5-liter, 100-hp 4-cylinder, paired with a 3-speed auto tran. Optional on the base and standard on LE was the 3.0-liter, 141-hp V6, paired with a 4-speed automatic. Optional for the LE was a 3.3-liter, 147-hp V6, 4-speed automatic. That's a lot of power for a four-door sedan, and the seemingly boring-looking Dynasty is loved by its fans for its quick acceleration and speed ratings.
The 1993 Dodge Dynasty is also big. At 192-inches long, it has a spacious interior that has enough leg and headroom to comfortably fit four (six is touted, but it wouldn't be comfortable on longer rides) in soft cushiony seats. Options, such as power windows and locks and sunroof are added bonuses. Owners emphasize the dependability and power of the Dynasty, and the fact that its built to provide a smooth, quiet ride. Transmission troubles are a frequent criticism.
So, my 92 dodge dynasty (3.3 v6) is in limp mode it down shifted very harshly 2 weeks ago and has not been able to shift while in drive since. I have replaced the input and output sensors and while there seems to be an improvement to performance, it still isn't shifting. The speedometer and cruise have not been functional for some time. Should I replace the third speed sensor to see if that helps or wait to connect it to a diagnostic scanner?
I have a 92 Dodge Dynasty and my radio wont turn on. Before I disconnected the battery and reconnected it the radio worked perfectly fine. And now the radio wont turn on at all, nothing. I replaced the fuse, tried disconnecting the battery again but nothing. The closest I get is a small green line on the radio. Someone please help me.
the car can go in reverse and it seems to be able to go forward for a couple of feet but maybe when it goes beyond first gear it gets stuck and doesn't budget. it'll rev up in drive and can still go in reverse but i have to turn the car off then on again to get a couple more feet out of it going forward. there is a kind of pinging sound when the car is stuck in drive there is ample transmission fluid. i've heard of something called a Transmission control solenoid that may be something to look into
