1990 Dodge Dynasty Reviews, Pricing & Specs

Not the most dynamic-looking of Dodge vehicles, what this four-door, six-passenger, mid-size sedan lacked in beauty, it made up for in roominess and speed. The 1990 Dodge Dynasty was offered in base and LE trims, with a standard 2.5-liter, four-cylinder engine or a 3.0-liter, 141-hp V6, both standard with a 3-speed automatic. New for 1990 in the LE trim was an optional 3.3-liter, 147-hp V6, paired with a four-speed automatic. With either V6 engine, this front-wheel drive sedan had some giddyup power for a conservative family car.
Cheaper and with fewer options than its close relative, the New Yorker (they shared a platform), the 1990 Dynasty was an affordable family car that was easy on the gas budget. Other additions to the 1990 Dynasty included driver's airbags, and leather seats in the LE.
The roomy interior means a comfortable ride for both front and rear passengers, and a lot of drivers sing the praises of the large and deep trunk. Quick and responsive acceleration, decent gas mileage (22/27 mpg), and smooth performance were also highlighted. Negative reactions focused on the dowdy, plain look of the car and its poor handling of turns.
