Performance: Real good on gas, does good when driving, great engine 22RE!!
Build Quality: good strong truck, only had to replace the thermostat and the bed squeaks from the wreck.
Appearance: Great body style, looks good and is strong, looks mean and nice.
Cost of Ownership: $30 a week for gas, low maintenance costs.
Fun Factor: Very fun to drive, great vehicle, burns tires, goes through mud, climbs big hills, Woohoo lots of fun!!Jul 02, 2010

awesome truck that is pretty much a tank, k/c lights and roll bar stick shift. sweet truck in my own words. Lots of horse power for a 4 cylinder but its not to fast. love this truck. It is a stock that looks like it is lifted.Jan 27, 2010

truck is underpowered for its size, v6 has little potential, 4wd is fun in winter, good truck for offroad, it can take a beating, won't die, engine may give bad mpg but it keeps running, got the truck for free, needs a v8 conversion or trd supercharger, rough ride on streetsNov 17, 2008

i love my pickup. it has 430 000 clicks on it and is still going strong all tho only 130 000 on motor. all tho expensive to buy compared to other models it is well worth it.
the only complaint i have is that is have terrible gas mileage but mine does have 31s and i am not usually to easy on the pedal.Aug 06, 2008

I miss this truck! It had almost 200k miles on it with original parts. The only reason it "died" was because of a hit-and-run by a drunk driver. But even after that, I could still drive the truck; I chase them down the road until I memorized their license plate - ha!Jul 16, 2008

Yep i got a heavy duty Flat bed on this little toyota truck! Its amazing! Ive just upgraded the interior and its all new out of a 1995 wrecked 2wd truck(the ranchers before me had trashed this truck!)
Its got a weak engine and I am going to rebuild it this summer and sell it hopefully.
It is a good running truck with a good transmission and will have a damn good engine in it here sooon!!!Mar 06, 2008

This was a bare bones truck that I put a new motor in. It had the 22RE motor which is a legendary Toyota motor. It really had no features to mention. But most vehicles of this age do not features you find today anyway. It was a very reliable and economical truck. Got around 25 MPG total average and it actually accelerated pretty quick for an old truck.Nov 02, 2007

I’m getting No power to the vehicle ?
Replaced the battery and alternator and still not getting any power to the vehicle. All fuses are good. Enough juice to let you know the key is in the ignition but as soon as I turn the key I get no power to anything in the truck. What else can it be ?

Rough running Toyota pickup
Ok I have a 91 Toyota pickup with a 22re it takes a lot of cranks to start and once it's running it idles rough and has no power pops and sputters when I hit the gas and if I clamp off the fuel return line it runs good I can rev it fine but still has low power and slow throttle response. The fuel pump tank and sending unit are new as well as the fuel pressure regulator and filter. Any ideas?
