Loved it at the time. With gas prices the way they are, I'd buy it back in a heartbeat! Performance wise, I had to cut the A/C off if I wanted to merge on to the highway and not get ran over. It never needed any major repairs, but the paint did fade from the bumper revealing yellow. Jul 22, 2008

transmission swap
i have a 3 spd and will a 4 auto or a 5 spd manual bolt in correctly, what would have to be changed electronically for the 4 spd. for the 5 spd does anyone have a computer pin diagram so i can "refabricate" my harness.

Vehicle backfired and stopped and will not start.
I was driving and the engine backfired and then stopped. Now it will not start. The starter is fine but it acts like a broken circuit like a bad efi relay. I switched with the identical headlight relay and still won't start. HELp please Frankly

Starter issue???
I have a 91 Geo prism that when I turn it over all it does is click one time and that's it. I have put a new battery in it and new spark plugs since the old ones were fouled. Does this sound like it is a starter issue or something to do with the cap and rotor? Thoughts????

I have 1991 geo prizm that the differential went out in, junkyard sold me a 1996 toyota corolla transmission and said it would work. Just wondering if anyone knew if this was true.
