my coolant leaks out fast when the engine heats up only on freezing weather?
i had the cooling system pressure checked and no leaks showed up.

I love how it only takes a few dollars of gas to fill up and also the fact that it is running great hasn't gave me any problems since I bought it from another private party. Sucks that its salvaged but still for a salvaged Car its pretty neatDec 18, 2014

The car does not cost a lot of money to maintain, and Its great on gas. Easy mobility in traffic, and looks decent. Only downfall? The car is lacking power, but this is what you get when you need economy. But if you could put up with a little noise and a little less power you have got a winner. Jul 13, 2013

96 geo prizm... 96 toyota corolla with Geo badging great car fo the price.. (usually dirt cheap) TOyota drive train toyota body car will really last forever as long as its properly maintained. 227k miles and still going strong. not the fastest or prettiest car but hey what do you want its a geo. rides great gets 30mpg on the automatic. and cheap to fix.Mar 12, 2010

Performance: its slow but its just because of the 1.6L engine. but plans to drop in the 1.8L engine and turbo it.

This is an excellent car..great on gas(over 32 miles to the gallon on highway and 26 miles in the city). It does have great response, excellent manuverability (360 degree turn from one point) ...no major repairs in the first 7 years. I own this car now 12 years. It has 140,000 miles and still running great! In the last 5 years repaired just brakes, bought new tires, changed muffler and exhaust pipe (due to corrosion in Ohio winters). Interiors Ok, not great...excellent A/C...no troubles at all...
Its basically a Toyota Corolla engine...so low maintenance cost...would recommend this car to anyone to buy...
Pros — excellent fuel consumption...and looks sweet too

Why wont my car start?
My 96 Geo prizm will not start. We replaced the alternator. Had it checked out it was bad. Worked okay for 2 or 3 days then it would not turn on. We replaced the battery. Again, it worked for 2 or 3 days fine then it wouldn't start. No clicks, no lights, no nothing. Checked the wiring, seems fine. It started right up with a jump. took the negative off the battery, alternator still running good. Charged the battery, which is brand new, now still will not start. Also have replaced a lot of the fuses.

How do I clean out the gas tank on my 96 Geo Prizm?
The car has been sitting for 5 years. With gas left in the car. So I am wanting to see if there's any way to really clean out the whole gas tank& any sort of fuel lines? Any suggestions on anything to help get it back in shape would be appreciated.
