the car will not start was told it could be fuel pump how do i know for sure that is the problem.for sure

The Buick Regal in my opinion is the best car GM ever made. Even today. Since the 90's, this car was amazing. (I don't like the 80's regal) If GM offered the 3800 on the new regal's today, I would buy it, no questions asked. The 91 Regal is the car for me and until it dies, I will drive it. Performance - electronically delayed acceleration, braking and handling ok.
Build quality - Needs lots of repairs to engine and electronic systems and electrical
devices.
Cost of ownership - constant climate control makes it difficult to get a consistent
MPG reading, and after ten years major repairs will be needed.
Fun factor - suspension too cushy for cornering, but a great touring car.

My buick was a birthday present the year I got my license. My parents had it panted easter egg purple, there was no way to miss it. I have to admit, its a great car for a new driver. You could literally hit anything and be safe. It was totally ugly and slow as hell. It taught me how to park pretty well, every car I've had since seems tiny compared to it. i think its quick at acceleration but in the long run it comes up short though i have never maxed my car out i've gotten it to 105. my driver side door is rubbing up against the front fender so theres some flaws in the build quality. long car so it makes it look fast but the interior could use some sprucing up to still give you that feeling that its fast. very cheap when it comes to insurance, i pay $60 under my dads name and i would pay somewhere around $90 on my own policy. bit pricey to repair because i have the GS (Gran Sport) model it comes with a bit of performance accesories like oil cooler and trans cooler for the radiator. nice little car to drive around in Aug 19, 2009

there are not many of these cars left on the road in decent condition. Fortunately I have had the opportunity to drive 2 of them. Both were 1991 Regal Customs. One i drove in Highschool and was dark red; my mom drove it for several years before it was given to me to drive, then Tom my younger brother drove it for a couple years when he was in highschool. The other one I bought from a local kid i knew and fixed it up, it needed some mechanical reconditioning, but I drove it for about 6 months and it ran flawless. Sold in February of 2009. I averaged about 32 mpg between Marinette, Wi and Sault Ste Marie, Mi. Over all I would give the car about an 8 out of 10.Jul 06, 2009

This was the greates car I ever owned. I liked it so much, I bought an identical one after bouncing the first off a tree. Build quality was superb. The 175 HP 3800 performance was more than adequate when compared with other vehicles of it's vintage. The revised 4T60-E transmission was rock solid. The fiberglass transverse rear leaf spring provided rigid ride and stable control, with no spring sag over time. Economy was reasonable at 19 city and 30 highway. This car was a real looker, and stood out in a crowd as the GS package was limited relative to others. Jan 07, 2009

Lots of interior/trunk space.
Solid GM 3.8 Liter V6.
Started in the North Dakota winters.
Handled like a dream on the gravel back-roads.
Couldn't have asked for a better starter.
