I have a 7mge engine and transmission in my supra and i am wanting to convert the engine to a turbo. I am wondering if i would have to change the transmission to the 7mgte or can i just convert the engine to a turbo and keep the regurlar 7mge transmission? Is there a difference in the 7mge and 7mgte transmission?
Probably one of very very few with this low amount of miles. My dad only drives it to keep the engine and mechanical parts moving. It is in perfect condition. It's always been garaged. And at this point, 27 years. We aren't in a rush to sell it. But just want to know the valuation. I'm sure we could keep it for another 10 years and under 20k miles.
This car was my dad's, until he passed away. It's a black ruby pearl color that was a showroom car which was bought at El Monte Longo in California. It's has 88,293 miles on the motor. Everything about the car is purely stock. Leather seats, power seats, power windows, power locks, A/C works, NO modifications of any kind (besides the general maintenance updates). The car's paint is in supurb condition. It was garaged kept for most of it's lifetime. There isn't any rust on the car. The wheels are actually a 1991 wheel. It's an automatic transmission with ECT/OD modes. TEMS are functional. Targa top that hasn't been leaking since I've taken it off a few times but has in the past. I can go on but with this information, what do you guys think my Supra's worth? I'm just gauging to see how much I can potentially get out of it. Thanks, Branden
