•Performance - acceleration thers alot of other cars that will out run it, braking yeh its got some, handling you will have fun just got work at it
•Build Quality - has repairs? yes welding but cheap to do squeaks/rattles yes of course but easy to fix an for its age wouldnt expect any less
•Appearance - interior back to the 80s here but worn well and exterior styling its just got a grate look
•Cost of Ownership - MPG very good as long you drive like your nan, maintenance any problems will be cheap to fix and you can do it yourself
•Fun Factor - is this car fun to drive? Hell yeh always puts a smile on my face with its bouncy suspension skinny wheels and that little engine grawls all day long

this car was bright yellow and was the mk2 fiesta 1.1 with the xr2 trim and interior fitted with the 1.6 cvh engine and webber twin 40's with a 4 speed box which topped at 105 mph it had koni's all round and dropped 40mm with the mk4 14" standard 4 spoke rim's, it used more fuel than my bike which got 90 mile for 20 litres so was pathetic really but the plus side was that parts were penny's so if anything packed up it cost nothing, the car was very fun to drive especially because it only had 4 gears so shot away from the line but had no top end so bye bye the car wentSep 04, 2008

It wasn't all that quick (I was once beaten off the lights by an Escort LX) but it
looked nice. The only car I have ever owned that had a sunroof.
Built quality was OK but mine blew up so I don't have much regard for the 1.6
engine.Jul 08, 2008

Not your average Mk3, XR2 engine, road rally cams and aload of other gumf, I don't want to give away all her secrets!
She might be an old girl and her body needs a bit of love which isn't easy being a 4 door, but she still goes like you wouldn't believe!

We bought this car as a cheap run about. It cost us about £400 from the car auction. It was the 1.6 XR2i. Whoever owned it before us had fettled with the suspension. It handled great and the acceleration was fantasticFeb 24, 2008

Great first car, hated it when I had it and wanted something which looked better but really missed its reliability when it was gone!Jan 06, 2008
