Since its an old truck, it doesn't compare to the newer models. But its a classic, straight body lines and has the all too underrated 318 under the hood which makes this truck have lots of unorthodox potential. what it needs to be a true champ is just the usual maintenance to keep it on the road and it will last as long or even longer than any new car on the road today. Nice truck that can take alot of abuse and still keep going. A solid hunk of steel that will keep you safe in almost any acident. Its fun to drive and is always intresting. Had to put new tires on it, but its got a nice stereo and I love the car to death. Thank you gramma for the truck. I love youJan 25, 2011

nice truck, cheap on gas, Not bad acceleration for a small standard 4 cylinder, small amounts of rust, it is also dented a little bit. the power steering leaks a little but all in all is a nice little truckOct 03, 2010

this truck had a 3.9L with a 5 speed. wasnt the best lookin truck but it got the job done. i regret selling it back 2 my brother but i needed the money. i hit many deer wit this truck nd it never got a dent in it.Jan 21, 2010

This truck hauls ass and looks great doing it, whether you're bogging it, or driving on public roads. the 360 and 4 speed are a perfect combo, Not too mention the 5" reverse Shackle lift and the 37" tall Swampers on it.Sep 03, 2009

With just a V6 still has plenty of power, wish i coulda had a V8 stays going straight even going really fast on gravel. can feel the bumps but not hard like the older trucks were.Apr 29, 2008

We've had this truck since I was born! It's never had any work on it though it needs it now. The only thing that I don't like about it right now is that it has a squeek when turning sharply and my granddad hasn't replaced the brakes since the stone age (they're mush!) Apr 06, 2008

How much is my truck worth??
I have a 1989 dodge ram. Its runs great and doesnt have alot of problems. Its not to bad as being beat up. My gramma took really good care of it. It only has 108k miles on it. I havent done much at all to it, only put new tires on it and put a new head unit.

about compression
i bought a 5.9 at a salvage yard and found out it has compression on only one cylinder what can i do

1989 Dodge P/U 5.2L:. After driving even just a few minutes, when motor is turned off radiator empties itself!!! Fill it up, same process everytime. Truck did overheat initially on first drive, after purchase, of course!
What could be causing this? Is there a fix or is this warning of something major?
