Things I like: Seats, greenhouse, entry access and exit ease, power and did I mention the stick, it is a dream. Things I don't like are age related versus design, style, or performance items. Seats had to be rebuilt, dash cluster a nightmare, electronics so complex as to make one look for simpler vehicles to mess with. This is not recommended for beginners and first time BMW ownership. At this age the sorting is rather constant and appears to be never ending, but the old guy starts everyday and hasn't missed a beat. Sep 08, 2013

Got this car from the same guy i get all my cars from and i trust him alot. it was a great car at 16 the car was not as fast off the line as my saab but was much faster top end. i didnt know how to drive standard as well as i thought i did and many poor down-shifts ate my clutch and the rebuild was going to coast too much so i had to sell the car with 240kSep 09, 2009

Its a big car but it still handles good. Its has a really good quality! It is a luxury with a sporty touch, so it rides comfortably but still performes well when pushed faster. It has good brakes and stops quick.Aug 07, 2009

how can i get to the fuse box, located under the rear seat of a 1988 bmw i735 il?
well i got the car like six months back, but when i got it of my friend, he upgraded from the original cassete receiver to a aftermarket cd player. He told me that the stereo worked but for some reason the speakers did not produce eny sound,(the stereo turns on, but no sound). I took the car to stereo shop, they checked it out, and they told me the car needed new speaker rewiring. I took the car back home becouse i did not believe the car needed that, i started reading the owners manual, and discovered that the car had a 2nd fuse box located under the left side of the rear seat. bBut i been trying to get to the fuse box without damaging the electric motor that pull the seat back and foward.
