Mine is a 1986 with a stock 350 witch they didn't make allot off because everyone thought the carbs were bad when it was really the fuel pump it might sound or feel like its on but it wasn't . I loved all the different styles and looks that they could hold. The options for the looks was a vary big range of different styles, colors, decals, motor sizes, interior colors, vinyl layouts, spoilers, window tent, suspension levels. There also really reliable cars if you treat them right. My firebird sat in my dads side yard with trees, vines, weeds, and in the mud since 1992 and we through a new a really old battery that we charged up also some starting fluid in the carb and it started up first turn of the key. So this shows Pontiac did a great job except fuel pumps with the 86 350 firebird. I wouldn't want any other car more to be driving around on a sunny day then it jamming to Lenard Skynnard and i am only 16 and i work on cars and motorcycles everyday have since i was 2 when i got my first dirt bike took it apart when i was 6 and completely put it back together correctly. Also im from ohio so we get alot of snow and id still rather be in my bird. There very good cars. Please help them come back. City boys with ricers and crap drifters are overpowering the favor of muscle cars to new cars. The only bad things about the firebird is the stock radio and if you have never drove a super powerfull car they make a little bit less powerfull 305 and also a 2.8l. There perfect. I like the inside room your get but u gotta be a wee man to fit in the back, the car handles like a dream but don't have much power all in all if u like cruzin this car is the thingJan 11, 2014

havent had a chance to drive it as it also is being restored. will probly have it 100% buy the time i have my full g licence in 2014. i might put a larger motor in it other than putting in another 2.8 v6May 14, 2012

it needs a lot of work I've done things to improve the interior . added a center console out of a 98 camaro... fit's nicely. carpet will need to be replaced once body work is completed. ?Right now I'm just enjoying driving it around.Sep 16, 2011

Performance- good acceleration for a V6, great braking.
Build- has kept me safe. It didn't fold up when I got T-boned.
Appearance- needs repainting, and ding removal. interior is set :)
Great gas mileage for a 2.8L V6. This car gets 30MPG.

The car is in process of bein restored, so its performence isnt the best yet but will be good. The appearance will look good after im done. Cost of ownership actually isnt bad. The car WILL be a blast. Its a classic, so who wouldnt want one.Jun 09, 2010

This is a nice car to go to the beach or just drive on a sunny day you know! Not very muscle style like for mustang or other cars but it has a very nice style, it doesn't seem that strong but it does seem very fast!Jul 31, 2009

Handles great! Has sentamental value, was owned by my grandfather. He was shot and killed in it. So I can never get rid of it! It needs the interior to be restored & some engine work. Has a lot of power and had great road handleing, but not on wet roads. Jan 11, 2009

The interior of the car is awesome because its that 80's futuraristic styling. All the seats are comfortable even though the back seat don't really give you much leg room. It has power locks and windows. It even came with a flashligh. The exterior is pretty fly. The best exterior feature is the T-tops. It has flip up head lights. The glass hatch looks really nice. It sits pretty low to the ground. The handling is ok, if your in the rain its a little scary. The engine is fuel efficient V6 2.8L and has some kick. My overall impression is that pontiac makes great cars. This one still runing after 22 years enough said.Jul 08, 2008
