Well it wasn't a bad car, the power wasn't great but it was semi reliable. It lasted
me about 1 year but I did really beat on it. was fun to drive though, for example
the speedometer only went to 80 and if you went fast then that the needle would
disappear in to the dashboard, use to freak friends out with that. The inside was
kinda nice but the actual look of the car is not that great, not that it was in bad

I bought this olds a couple of years ago it a 1986 cutless supreme brougham .I love the car exept like most people who own one I find it lacking in power .This is the second 305 cutless that I have and the owned .I drove the other one for 9 years ,it was an awsome car ,verey nice to drive and extremely reliable . I have 3 kids so I need a bigger car then some .I find the cutless supreme to be a great family car and I like the way they look .Where I live if a car is more then 25 years old and in good original condition you can get a colector plate that looks cool and gives you cheaper ins. I payd $1200 for this cutless and my ins is under $200 a year .it has 180 000 km ,its a a brougham so its fully louded with power everythin includeing drivers sid seat and power factory sunroof . the car origonaly had the stock factory wire wheel covers , the spokes were loose and ratled when I drove so I replaced them with the olds rally wheels ,which I bought for $90 ,I painted them and polished the chrome and they turned out great , I recently got a full tuneup done on the car,new plugs,distributer cap , the whole deal and I couldnt beleve the improvment in power .Before the car was running smoothly and always started fine so I didnt think a tuneup was needed but Im sure glad I did it .Iv also started uses higher octain fuel so that seems to have improved performens as well Jul 21, 2012

this car has only 47000 mikes its a v6 (3.8) and a 3 speed auto (th200) because of its age its in need of paint but body is about 90% with very little rust it has one dent in right front fender interior is red factory color is goldDec 05, 2010

I especially like that this car is still an AMERICAN MUSCLE car and that it has the gitty up and go of any car out their with 700+ Horsepower and 650+ Torque which allows it to be one of the fastest cars around

the 307 is like a dog thats all bark no bite. its loud as hell but is only producing like 150hp and seeing the car weighs about 3600lbs its not very quick. plus heavy cars dont corner very well but it is a great driver. floaty suspension is an awesome feature.Aug 13, 2010

Despite its shortcomings, my Cutlass is one of my favourite cars in my stable. It's a
gentleman's musclecar, with plush seats, power everything, cruise control and A/C.
For a pushrod V8, it's surprisingly thrifty, and it idles so smooth you can forget the

Land Yacht. Heavy Steel construction makes for durable and unresponsive handling and the need for heavy breaking. Looks great especially with 442 Rims and spoiler. Engine is easy to modify and repair. Very fun to drive. Gas mileage is deplorable. Apr 02, 2010

Performance - It was decent at one point in its life, but age was not kind to it.
Build Quality - An utter tank, it could take on a train and survive.
Appearance - So ugly it was beautiful.

Love the rims, the system and the sound of the V8. I hae that it gets sucky gas milage and that its slow, but I plan to change that as soon as I can afford it. I like driving it because not many people have an 86 Cutlass. Its also in really good shape cause I bought it from an old grandma.Oct 06, 2009

its time i thought to bring the last generation of cutlass the name they used to have as a badass and so thats what i have done so far mine runs a 12.56 in a quarter mile i have a 350 rocket out of a 1970 cutlass thats bored 30 over forged pistons forged heads a 362 duration comp roller cam a steel crank a 750 edelbrock carb a high rise rpm performer intake and roller rockers i havent dynoed it yet but when i do i plan to let everyone know that my cutlass still has its badass attitude like in the 60s and 70s Apr 22, 2008

From a stock idea, the car was heavy and the engine was weak. The build of the car was designed to last a lifetime (25 years). The valve guides on the 305 would go within the first 80k, but it was only apearance. The motor ran fine with little maintenance untill high 200K easy. When the motor gave out you could pick up a new one for $100. Where can you go wrong?Mar 15, 2008

A friend's father owned this car, and after he tried to trade it into the local dealer on a new Cavalier he decided the $100 trade-in value wasn't good enough. I gave him $200 cash and it was mine. The car had 187,000 miles on the Olds 307 4bbl V8, but it still ran like a champ. That motor was so quiet and still had plenty of pep in it. The TH 200-C transmission was a little on the weak side. It was on its way out, but it still worked so why not buy this? The AC was ice cold, the interior was clean and it had the F41 sport suspension package. Plus for $200 it was cheaper than fixing the A/C in my Mercury. Feb 22, 2008
