82 Toyota pickup 22r, Lights randomly turn off/on need help :(
Well was driving home and my lights turned off, they sometimes turn back on a few minutes later. any ideas before I waste the wallet.

its got a lot of potential 2 be a fast drag truck. im lookin 2 drop a 350 small block under the hood. its got shaved door handles. hopefully 1 day i can run it down the drag strip. wish me luckFeb 10, 2010

It accelerate slow, brake fast and handled ok. it was built strong you could roll it then flip it back and drive away without knowing it rolled. it was the funnest thing to drive. it got very good gas mileage and was easy to repair.Aug 23, 2009

Performance is very unimpressive, but it is a tough,
sturdy truck. I could easily haul a 1000 lb payload
with decent performance, and it tackled winter
roads with ease. It also had a sturdy frame that
made for ideal off-roading and hauling. It looks
fantastic, gets decent mileage, and it's a very fun
truck to drive. Heads turn when you drive this rare
truck, as only a few survive. It has a tendency to
rust and the interior is cheap and plastic, but that is
common for most 1980s cars. It isn't a particularly
comfortable truck, with a rough ride and smallish

'Twas three years old when I bought it. I kept it for thirteen years. It
had 206,000 miles on it when the engine died. Some months after I
sold it to a salvage yard, I saw it around Lawrence, Kansas, obviously
with a new engine in it. I hauled housing supplies, antiques, camping
equipment, furniture...trash to the landfill...towed a couple of rental

Although this truck lacked in performance, it made up every bit in appearance. Stock, this truck had only 97 H.P. and came without power steering, power windows, power door locks and power mirrors. It is very rusty (being from Utah) but still is very snazzy especially with a touch of cosmetics which included fiberglass body work. Apr 02, 2008

The truck was my Dad's "winter" vehicle when he had a 1976 Pontiac Firebird. I think the
truck only had like 92hp, but it could go anywhere. It really was the Timex add, Takes a
lickin and keeps on tickin. I'm sure it's still running where ever it is today.Mar 04, 2008
