Don't buy one unless you are planning to update everything for performance. :) Build quality is pretty bad. the appearance is not so good. Cost of ownership is not bad for the size of car and parts are pretty cheap. Fun factor is pretty high. Lots of space and great for trips. Strange but for the age, it's a little reliable. Needs little repairs here and there and most of them are easy to do.

I'm writing a short story in which my poor character is given a 1982 Lincoln Town Car by her wealthy grandmother. I need to get the details of the interior correct. The exterior will be powder blue (it's a recent paint job) and I'm giving the car white leather seats. What else should I say about the car that makes my poor character's eyes pop out at its splendor? For instance, what might the dash be made out of and/or what does it look like? I need to know the obvious stuff that someone who doesn't know anything about cars would notice. Thanks!
