1981 Toyota Supra Preview summaryImage

The 1981 Supra got a bigger engine and a new performance package was available. Called the Sport Performance Package, it offered sport suspension, raised white letter tires, and front and rear spoilers.

The 1981 Toyota Supra came with a 2.8-liter single overhead cam engine with 116 horsepower. It was available with a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission.

Drivers, particularly those who liked the Celica, love a Toyota that promises reliability and sportiness in one package. However, many owners wish for more power, and also find the seats too small.
