who made 1980 capri convertibles

was the capri engine a blue colr

someone I know has a black 1980 capri. I looked under the hood and the engine was blue. I asked him if the engine had been changed and he said no..Was this what the original engines looked like??? I have never seen a blue engine before.

i just got a 1980 capri that im gunna restore so any tips?

Suggestions on updating my '80 Capri?

I have a Capri (1980, black ext, blue int, 4sp manual, don't know the engine off hand but think it's a 4cyl.) Bought it from my brother-in-law; long story, but it's in decent shape with low original miles and may be worth updating for my son to drive. Just wondering if anyone had any pointers. Would like to give it new interior, dash, seats, install A/C, better/newer/safer brake system, etc. Don't care about power so much as long as it's safe for him as a first car. It pretty-much would need a good 'overhaul', but don't know how to or how much to get it done. Since it shares bloodlines with the mustang, it'd be nice to drop in a real powerhouse engine- but I'll let him do that with his money. Thoughts and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
