Will not do anything until a jump wire in the fuse box is put in
The battery was hooked backwards briefly and now it won't crank without putting a jump wire in the fuse box where the relay goes.

Although the car is priced high, given the low mileage, I do understand the reasoning. They are very hard to find as they were only made for a couple years. I would compare it to the Mazda Miata.Feb 07, 2024

overall i love this thing. old school stand up wind sheild, top hides behind the seat, lines remind me of an Alfa romeo. front shimmies on hard exceleration but mainly in lower gears. only big complaint, lack of online inforrmation. this is my second one and its just as fun to drive as i remember.Feb 11, 2015

I just love driving it with the top down. It handles like a go cart, accelerates quickly except on the steepest hills (remember I've got the automatic) and returns 24mpg while I'm driving around the Garden State Parkway at 75-85 mpg. I've owned a Fiat Spider, a couple Lebaron convertibles, and a Mercedes 380SL. The SL is built like a tank, but I enjoy driving the Capri more.Sep 04, 2012

1992 Mercury Capri will not start
Was running great then lost power and died. Would not start. Did start next day but done the same thing (lost power and died). I replaced fuel pump and coil. There is no spark from plugs.
