I don't like the holes in the floor.
Everything else is amazing... Current spec is 2.0 pinto, type 9 gearbox, 2.8 capri struts, wilwood 4 pots up front, standard rears. Lowered 2" (until I can afford coilovers) on alloy blocks. 6x13 Minilite style wheels with 185/60/13 tyres.
Probably does 20-25 mpg.

Has never moved under it's own power while I've owned it (in about ten years...?). It's got 15" compomitive splitties and a 3.5 Rover ready for it if I get the time (yeah right).May 19, 2008

Ford escort mk2 speedo incorrect.
Ive recently purchased a 1975 ford escort mk2. Everything is going well, weve just had to replace the pressure plate as it was a bit worn. But the speedo is incorrect. The speedo cable runs to the gearbox... which seems to be the problem As it has a not so original type9 gearbox. So basically how do I fix this? Do I need another speedo guage or is it the speedo cable? How do I get the speedo to indicate at least relatively true? And help is apreciated. thanks.

no side lights front and rear or fog light
There are no front and rear side lights or rear fog .Is this down to the first position on the light switch. Is there any way round this other than a new switch? Another problem boot switch does not always work but fog light indicator comes on .On pressing fog light boot pops?
