I don't know too much about Cars but it has a 170 inline 6. it also has an auto lite 1100 recently rebuilt carb. When started it sounds just terrible but it'll run on its own, but will die within the minute. Please help! Thanks!
Hi, I just got a 1968 ford falcon with what I believe to have a 302ci and a 4bbl carb. Engine sounds smooth except when you accelerate you can hear a slight ticking from the passenger side. I think it's coming from under my valve cover but not sure. Any ideas? This is my first falcon project.
I have a neighbor who has inherited her deceased mther's 1968 Futura. Appears to be in great condition, 11k miles. I'm trying to get an idea as to sale value. Any thoughts? Bucky
I AM WORKING ON A 68 FORD FALCON PUTTING IT BACK TOGETHER & SUCH. MY NEIGHBOR REMOVED THE STEERING WHEEL TO PUT ON A CUSTOM WHEEL IN THE PROCESS OF RESTORATION. THE CAR HAD NO STEERING WHEEL ON IT WHEN I GOT IT AS THE AR HAD BEEN MOVED AND SUCH. THE TIE RODS AND DRAG LINK AND EVERYTHING WAS REMOVED FROM THE CAR ALSO. LONG STORY SHORT I AM TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO RECENTER THIS WHEEL SO I HAVE GOT THE SAME AMOUNT OF TURNS TO THE LEFT & THE RIGHT OR IF ITS EVEN GONNA HAVE THE SAME AMOUNT OF TURNS BOTH WAYS. I HAVE PUT ALL NEW STEERING PARTS BACK ON THE CAR AND WHEN EVERYTHING LOOKS CENTERED FROM UNDERNEATH AND I PUT MY WHEEL ON I CANT GET THE SAME AMOUNT OF TURNS BOTH WAYS. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
