63 Galaxie 500 Convertible engine swap.
I currently have a 63 Galaxie convertible with a 289 with minimal horsepower. I am looking for recommendations for the engine I should consider a swap. Thanks!

I done a complete frame off restore, built engine, tran,&3rd member my self ,with help from my son and 1 brother.it placed at Texas Autorama car show in 2003. the interior is charcoal which,goes very well with the pearl white paint. I am 70 years old & still love the snap it has Dec 21, 2014

I always wanted a 1964 Galaxie, but now that I own this 63 I prefer the looks and style more.
This car is equipped with 352 2V engine,Automatic Transmission,Am Radio,Tinted Glass, Red Cloth Interior.Dual Side Mirrors, Inside Day/Night Mirror. I have added the Torque Thrust Wheels and Dual Exhaust.I also have Wire Covers and Fender Skirts for the custom look.I am repainting the original steel wheel white with dog dish hub caps as it came from the factory.This was a one owner unrestored car out of Newton Kansas.

Great car. Very quick too! For a huge car, this thing gets up and goes. Our's has a 406 with 3 -2barrel carburetors. It's got 13.5:1 compression. We'll be putting in lower gears and a posi unit later.May 28, 2008

1964 Galaxie 390 motor…..
Hard to start….need to give it gas….when it dose start idle is ok let it warm up put it drive and car wants to shut off motor shakes I give it gas and it corrects I let go off gas step on brake pedal at a stop car wants to shut off have to feather the gas to keep it running…..please help…..thanks guys
