Great driving quality vehicle, style is great, performance is awesome, the handling is groovy. I have no complaints on the car repairs, and once it breaks and get repaired, don't have to replace for a while. Gas mileage is great.

Pros: I never owned an AWD before, much less a Subaru. The high roofline, the butter-smooth leather seats w/seat warmers!! I got 10 speaker smokin sound system w/6 in-dash CD. Its LOUD!!! I like how it sits up high off the ground for winter weather. There are so many options I dont know where to begin. Im like, O..M..G!!! My LL Bean Outback is SO adorable & aggressive!! How many cars do you know have TWO sunroofs?? I got the Mist Green/Beige combo. I totally luv my AWD McGruder. Cons: 1) Whats with the noise on the highway at the drivers door? Not a big deal because the music is on & I contributed it to the boxy styling, how its probably not all that aerodynamic. 2) Petrol consumption: McGruder obviously loves taking a chug at the petrol bar. He can drink that 93 octane, which is required for this model year, NOT optional. Front sunroof..itd be nice if it opened in addition to tilting up. But since I never had a sunroof before, who am I to complain?? Overall Review: Well, what do I say? After reading the honest reviews here, it just verifies that the Outback is a top quality vehicle. Ya know how when you get something then right after you see everyone else with the exact same thing?? I see so many of them on the street now. I got so many compliments on the styling, interior and the Subaru badge, If you get one, you wont go wrong, you wont regret it. Sounds like a car, drives like a car, but looks like a roadwrestler, which makes me feel so safe n secure. Im 55, & its nice to see EVERYTHING. I do believe its worth the money youll spend on it. Keep the regular maintenance on it, do what the owners manual tells you to & since its not a FWD car, ASK the dealer QUESTIONS when you are unsure of something. Im learning my dominant child is VERY different to handle, own & maintain. New pictures for 2017 coming soon!!

Performance: I have put a lot of time and money into working on the 3.0L flat 6, and it runs incredibly strong. There are very few aftermarket items for this engine, but I got this thing running at 142 in PERFECT conditions on racing fuel (118 octane) and new injecters and intake. Also has a custom tranny reflash. Buld Quality: Very solid. I have taken this wagon places where others wouldn't dare take it, and gotten it stuck in equally many places. No dings or rattles after 35000 "spirited" miles... Appearance: Conservative for a wagon, and yet sporty enough to justify more aggressive body work and rims/tires. Interior is simple and accomodating, but not rental car quality. Cost of Ownership: Very little if left as stock. Have had no problems with it... any problems I've had I've created... Fun Factor: Stock, not so much. Still strong, but with a new intake and exhaust, this vehicle has a LOT of high end torque.

Performance - AWD, Cruising speed. Build Quality - limited repairs needed. Appearance - Sport for a wagon, especially with rear spolier. Cost of Ownership - Not great gas mileage, but better than most SUVs. Fun Factor - A tank in the snow, surprising fast and nimble.

performance is not bad but for 6 cyl it can be a bit more powerful acceleration is good but you have to have pedal to the floor good handling for a car with this weight - nice interior very good finish and good feel touch materiel- not so much room in the back seat for the size of the car, but ok for normal size peapple.-In snow it have norival in therm of fun and if you dont have the vdp option because it cant be desactive completly- In therm of gas mileage you can immagine is not the lowest of the categerie, but it's a bit more than the normal of this class.-The price of parts are higher than the normal and jobber parts are not so easy to find specialy for engine parts in reason of the popularity of this boxer engine and the price of this car around 38,000 to 45.000 $ depend of the trim model option .- In the outside look is preaty well balance and it dont look like the wood panel of grand pa i like my car for the smoothiest of the engine and the cab and heater seat its a must in winter like wipper heat in the winshield and all this little attention to the detail . I recommand the car with no restriction
