Overview
A 7th generation Mustang arrives in 2024, but the sixth generation has more than enough to satisfy. The GT is the least expensive way to get a V8 under the hood of this famous pony car and a six-speed manual is standard. You can opt for a 10-speed automatic but really, why would you? The Mustang remains a classic with plenty of options to turn it into a track monster, but some find the interior quality to be sub-par. The Mach 1 will give you better handling and a bit more power. If you’re looking for monster power, step up to the Shelby GT 500.
Key Features
- V8 engine
- Track Apps performance metrics
- Manual transmission
- Electronic line lock
- LED exterior lighting
Pricing Details
The Mustang GT coupe starts at an MSRP of around $38,000. Used examples on CarGurus range from $7,932.00 to $96,557.50 with an average price of $18,012.75. The $6,700 GT Performance Package is a must for those who want to visit the track and we’d also recommend the $1,695 MagnaRide damping system for a smooth ride.

You'll learn to love on-ramps. Having to stop at red lights isn't so bad, as long as you're at the front of the line. Ford really hit a home run with the coyote 5.0 engine. The interior is much improved over previous models, too.

The best 5.0 first gen coyote engine ever built has the fog lights and the 1960s instrument cluster just amazing I would compare it to the 2015 model 😍😍😍😍.
