Overview
The BMW 1 Series debuted in the mid-2000s as a subcompact luxury car with sporty leanings. Though small, the top 135i trim came with an inline-six, making it the unexpected sports car in an otherwise sedate lineup. The car shared much of its underpinnings with the 3 Series of the time, though BMW shortened and chopped the 3 Series’ frame for use in the smaller 1 Series. The 135i was nearly as expensive as the 335i, and got even pricier with added options – of which there were many.

Great performance in a small package! Lots of torque from the twin turbo 3 liter I6, 7 speed DCT is smooth and great for city driving. Roomy interior for a compact coupe, well appointed. Brakes are over the top, stop NOW!
