Across all model years, accident-free inventory is excellent at 90.2% — clean inventory, standard diligence applies.

Key things to evaluate:

• Safety package: Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 with automatic emergency braking, lane-departure alert with steering assist, lane-tracing assist, road-sign recognition, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control.
• Infotainment: a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
• Fuel efficiency: 21 mpg city, 28 highway, and 24 combined for gas-powered models with FWD; 21/27/23 for gas-powered models with AWD; 20/26/22 for the Limited and Platinum trims with AWD; 36 mpg city, 32 highway, and 34 combined for XLE hybrid trims; 35/21/33 for the Hybrid Limited with AWD; and 26/27/27 for the Hybrid Max.

Which Toyota Grand Highlander trim should I buy?

The 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander offers these trims:

• XLE: the entry trim brings a 10-way power-adjustable driver seat with lumbar support, heated front seats, and the core Grand Highlander experience at the lowest step in the lineup.
• Limited: adds real leather, ventilation, a heated steering wheel, and the 11-speaker JBL stereo; this is the best-value trim if you want a more upscale cabin without going all the way to the top.
• Platinum: adds the most premium equipment in the range, including Portobello upholstery when paired with the top-spec engine, plus the highest-end feel in the lineup.

What Toyota Grand Highlander do most buyers choose?

The Toyota Grand Highlander years with the most listings are 2025, 2024, and 2026.

Those higher-volume years tend to be the easiest places to shop because you get more inventory to compare, which can make it simpler to find the right color, mileage, and equipment mix. They also usually give you a better chance of finding a strong deal without waiting for a rare listing to appear.

What is the Toyota Grand Highlander's resale value?

Both model years show meaningful price declines, which is good news if you’re shopping used and want to benefit from softer pricing. The drops are fairly close in size, so neither year is holding value dramatically better than the other. The 2024 and 2025 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Toyota Grand Highlander safe?

• 2024: 9/10

Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard across all trims.

For the safest used buy, the 2024 model posts the highest confirmed score of 9/10.

Should I buy a used Toyota Grand Highlander now or wait for the next model?

Buy now if:

• Price trend: The 2025 model is at −7.96% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −6.15%.
• Deal availability: The 2025 model has 38.4% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 38.8%.
• Sweet-spot year: The 2025 model has the most listings at a current average price of $45,086. The Toyota Grand Highlander offers a spacious, family-focused cabin with an “adult-sized” third row and strong everyday usefulness.

Consider waiting if:

• Powertrain/efficiency: You’ll be able to purchase a Grand Highlander with one of three available engine options. Starting things off, Toyota’s 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine will produce 265 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. For folks willing to sacrifice power for fuel efficiency, a 2.5-liter four-cylinder hybrid option will develop 245 combined net horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque (no combined net figure has been provided). At the top of the price range lives the Hybrid Max powertrain. This 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder hybrid mill turns out 362 combined net horsepower and 400 combined net lb-ft of torque.
• Tech: Every 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander comes equipped with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and standard features packaged within Toyota's audio multimedia software include dual-device Bluetooth connectivity, and standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
• Safety: Labeled Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 (TSS 3.0), the suite of features includes automatic emergency braking, lane-departure alert with steering assist, lane-tracing assist, road-sign recognition, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert.
• Starting price: The 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander should arrive at dealerships with a base MSRP of $44,405 including a $1,335 destination fee.

If you're buying used today, the 2025 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
