Across all model years, accident-free inventory is solid at 83.9% — always verify the vehicle history report.
| Model Year | Accident-Free % |
|---|---|
| 2026 | 92.5% |
| 2025 | 89.7% |
| 2024 | 87.9% |

| 2017 | 52.1% |

Key things to evaluate:
- Safety package: Honda Sensing
- Infotainment: a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and wireless charging
- Fuel efficiency: 37.6 mpg on the road trip, well short of its EPA rating of 44 mpg. Separately, on our Southern California testing loop, it got 37.1 mpg.
Which Honda Accord Hybrid trim should I buy?
The 2025 Honda Accord Hybrid offers these trims:
- Sport: The entry point, with cloth seats and the core Accord Hybrid experience.
- EX-L: The best-value trim, with the highest fuel economy ratings and upscale paint and interior color choices.
- Sport-L: Adds black wheels for a sportier look.
- Touring: The top trim, with Google Built-in infotainment, 12-speaker Bose premium sound, and a 6-inch head-up display.
What Honda Accord Hybrid do most buyers choose?
The Honda Accord Hybrid years with the most listings are 2024, 2023, and 2025.
| Model Year | Total Listings | Good + Great Deals % |
|---|---|---|
| 2024 | 3,271 | 32.7% |
| 2023 | 2,734 | 32.2% |
| 2025 | 2,588 | 32.7% |
| 2022 | 1,467 | 32.2% |
| 2026 | 1,169 | 33.4% |
| 2021 | 585 | 31.8% |
Those higher-volume years tend to be the easiest place to shop because you get more inventory to compare and a broader spread of prices and trims. They also line up with the model years that have the strongest mix of availability and deal activity.
What is the Honda Accord Hybrid's resale value?
| Model Year | Current Avg. Price | Year-Over-Year Change |
|---|---|---|
| 2021 | $23,083 | −5.43% |
| 2025 | $31,421 | −4.66% |
| 2018 | $18,680 | −3.48% |
| 2024 | $28,721 | −3.29% |
| 2023 | $27,380 | −3.03% |
| 2022 | $24,724 | −2.7% |
| 2019 | $19,638 | −2.47% |
| 2020 | $22,105 | −1.94% |
| 2017 | $16,455 | +0.63% |
Most model years are moving lower year over year, which is helpful if you're shopping used and want more room to negotiate. The declines are generally modest to moderate, with one older year showing a slight increase instead of a drop. That pattern suggests the Accord Hybrid remains in demand, but recent inventory is still softening enough to create opportunities for buyers.
The 2017 model year is holding steady, with prices close to flat year-over-year.
The 2017, 2020, and 2019 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.
Is the Honda Accord Hybrid safe?
- 2025: 9/10
- 2024: 8/10
- 2023: 8/10
- 2021: 8/10
- 2020: 10/10
- 2017: 9/10
Honda Sensing is standard on every 2025 Accord Hybrid.
For the safest used buy, the 2020 model posts the highest confirmed score of 10/10.
Should I buy a used Honda Accord Hybrid now or wait for the next model?
Buy now if:
- Price trend: The 2025 model is at −4.66% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −3.29%.
- Deal availability: The 2025 model has 32.7% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 32.7%.
- Sweet-spot year: The 2024 model has the most listings at a current average price of $28,721. The Honda Accord Hybrid offers a roomy cabin and a huge trunk, which makes it especially appealing if you want a practical family sedan.
Consider waiting if:
- Powertrain/efficiency: Honda’s two-motor hybrid powertrain isn’t like most hybrids, and the 2.0-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine is not the primary source of the Accord Hybrid’s motivation; instead, the gas engine operates as an electrical generator while an electric motor with 247 lb-ft of torque from 0 to 2,000 rpm handles the majority of the heavy lifting.
- Tech: Hybrids also have a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with new-for-2025 standard wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and wireless charging.
- Safety: Honda Sensing is standard on every 2025 Accord Hybrid, and Traffic jam assist is also standard.
If you're buying used today, the 2024 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.

Fuel economy is incredible! Vehicle is very quiet, but sounds like a space vehicle at low speeds. Honda really did a great job with new design and features of the car. Unsure how leather seats will weather yet, but my cars are all maintained well inside and out.

This car is absolutely amazing. So many features and such a smooth ride. It feels like you’re literally gliding down the road and it is amazing on gas with up to 47 MPG on the highway. 5 star safety features and I can see why it’s the best Sedan in 2024. It is a little on the pricey side for the fully loaded option but you definitely get what you’re paying for .

I have owned this car for only one week but have already put more than 1600 miles on it. So far, I am impressed with the performance and MPG. I have averaged 44 MPG in combined City and highway driving. It was very comfortable on the long road trip as well. My only complaint so far is that the SPORT-L does not have the rear vents or USB ports. Hondas different trim levels dont really make sense. You get the rear vents and USB on the EX-L but not on the SPORT-L. Doesnt make sense to me. Other than that very pleased with the car so far

Honda Accord Hybrid test drive
overall
Fun to drive and fuel-efficient, the 2025 Honda Accord Hybrid is an excellent family sedan.
Honda offers the 2025 Accord Hybrid in four trim levels, each equipped with a drivetrain producing 204 horsepower and 247 pound-feet of torque, while delivering up to 48 mpg in combined driving. Among midsize sedans, it has the roomiest back seat and the biggest trunk, adding comfort and practicality. This year, minor but meaningful changes include standard wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless smartphone charging, heated front seats, and rear air conditioning vents.
Verdict: Cars like the Accord used to be the traditional choice for a family of four. Now, consumers generally prefer crossover SUVs, so selecting an Accord is unconventional. Those that do will get a lot for their money, though. The 2025 Honda Accord Hybrid is roomy, comfortable, great to drive, safe in a collision, and budget-friendly.
