Design

The big SUV is instantly recognizable as a Hummer, thanks to its wide design and illuminated H-U-M-M-E-R grille. The Hummer EV SUV features big-rig-style navigation lights on the roof. It spans over 17 feet long, unless you remove the rear-mounted spare tire, at which point it is still 16.4 feet long.

Powertrain

The Hummer EV SUV is available with two battery packs—a 20-module pack and a 24-module pack. It also is available in a dual-motor configuration with 625 horsepower and a tri-motor version with 830 horsepower. The latter can sprint frome zero to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds. When properly equipped, the Hummer EV SUV can tow up to 7,500 pounds.

The dual-motor model with the smaller battery pack can travel up to 250 miles on a single charge. The tri-motor version has the larger battery and has a range of 314 miles. The Hummer EV SUV weighs an imposing 9,000 pounds, and the battery pack alone weighs 2,000 pounds. Thanks to DC fast charging, 100 miles of range can be added in just 12 minutes. With Level 2 charging, 16 miles of range can be added per hour of charging.

The Hummer EV SUV has impressive off-road abilities. It has standard all-wheel drive (AWD), 16 inches of ground clearance, and four-wheel steering. The four-wheel steering makes for a tight turning radius and allows for a “crab-walk” mode, where all four wheels can move the vehicle forward and laterally at the same time.

Interior

The Hummer EV SUV comes with leather upholstery, power-adjustable front seats, heated front seats, heated rear seats, ventilated front seats, and tri-zone automatic climate control. With the rear seats folded, the Hummer EV SUV provides up to 81.8 cubic feet of cargo space. With the rear seats in use, it has 35.9 cubic feet of cargo space. Thanks to its EV drivetrain, the front area has 11.3 cubic feet of cargo space, accessed via a power open-close hood.

Technology

The standard infotainment system consists of a 13.4-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto. It also comes with wireless device charging, a Wi-Fi hotspot, four USB ports, and a Bose premium stereo. The infotainment system and other vehicle features can be updated thanks to over-the-air (OTA) updates.

Safety

The Hummer EV SUV comes loaded with plenty of advanced driver-assistance features. This includes forward collision avoidance, automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.
