What’s New for the 2023 Audi Q7

Audi offers the lively turbocharged four-cylinder from the A4 in the 2023 Q7, and the automaker also made its advanced matrix LED headlights optional for more trim levels in the new model year.

Design

Though it’s a bulky family hauler, the Q7 still has tidy proportions that give it an athletic look. The SUV comes standard with 19-inch wheels and LED headlights with Audi’s unique signature daytime running light configuration. Higher trims bring larger wheel sizes of up to 20 inches, and Audi offers several added-cost premium paint colors.

Powertrain

The 2023 Q7’s base turbocharged four-cylinder engine makes 261 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque. Stepping up to the turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 bumps output to 335 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. Both engines come paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive (AWD).

Going for a three-row family hauler can often mean giving up performance and engagement, but the Q7 proves that doesn’t have to be the case. With the turbo-six on board, the SUV runs from zero to 60 mph in just five seconds—sports-car numbers from just a few years ago, and far quicker than anything seating seven people needs to be.

Interior

The Q7’s beautifully designed interior comes standard with leather upholstery, metal and wood accents, and an ergonomic design that makes seeing and reaching everything much easier. Audi includes a power panoramic sunroof, aluminum door sills, tri-zone automatic climate controls, and ambient LED interior lighting as standard equipment. The front seats are heated by default, and the second-row seat folds to allow access to the third row.

Technology

The 2023 Audi Q7 comes with a 10.1-inch infotainment display as standard, which brings Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There’s also an 8.6-inch lower screen that handles climate and vehicle controls. Some may find the dual-screen system confusing, but it becomes more intuitive over time. The Premium Plus trim adds a Bang and Olufsen stereo and a wireless charging system with signal booster. The top Prestige trim adds a head-up display and soft-close doors.

Safety

The 2023 Q7 comes standard with automatic emergency braking, forward collision warnings, automatic high beams, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alerts, lane-departure warnings, lane-keep assist, and a rearview camera. The last Q7 to receive full crash testing was the 2021 model, but it missed out on a Top Safety Pick award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

Pricing

As of this writing, Audi prices the base Q7 Premium at $60,395. Stepping up to the 55 powertrain brings the base price to $64,295. The range-topping Prestige model starts at $75,595. Several added-cost options are available, including $1,000 20-inch wheels, a $2,000 convenience package, a $750 towing package, and more.
