Went in to buy this truck and they just sold it even thought I had talked to the about 45 minutes before arriving and this truck was still available.

Very disappointed in lack of communication and follow through. I was
left hanging for a week after making a refundable deposit on the car. I
was told twice the car was ready only to drive there and it was not
ready. Tried getting in touch and left messages with no call back.

Went to see this vehicle. I was confirmed that the vehicle was still available. Once I got there, the sales person pulled it up on his computer and left to go get the keys to pull the car up. He then comes back and says sorry the car is gone…it wasn’t stolen or anything…my manager told me they took it this morning to somewhere due to it developing transmission issues this morning. He tried to show us vehicles that he thought was same size, however I am a large family of 7 and the van was perfect for us. We left.

I went there and they gave me to many excuses that the couldn't sell the car that they have to passed thru the shop it was a lot of excuses .

They were very responsive and asked exactly what I was looking for due to this ad not being correct. This ad read 2019 Ford F-150 XL Super
Crew LB 4WD when in fact it did NOT have a long bed, it had a short bed. I was specifically looking for a crew cab 8' bed and Vandergriff did a
VERY THOROUGH SEARCH FOR ME which I was very thankful for and I think they went well above what was expected.

I made an appointment to look at the truck on 10/29/2024 and they said the truck would be ready to look at on that date.I drove all the way 40 miles got there and they said they sold it the day before. Did not have the courtesy to call me. Very disappointing dealership. I would never buy anything from them.

This dealership does a bait and switch. If there's a deal online and it's too good to be true, they will keep you hanging get you in there to tell you the vehicle is sold so you could look at their other inventory. It is a very weird feeling as soon as you pull up there is the salesmen (a ton) dressed in pink like they work for T-Mobile waiting to ponce on you. The funny thing is the vehicle that was sold literally two minutes after I made a 50 minute drive, I called later five hours later and women verified They still had it and was pushing me to come in that day. The sales person had no idea what was going on. I called from another number and she absolutely verified the vehicle was still there-had not been sold that day. So when I told her what had happened and that it was a scam, she let her manager know, her manager got on the line and said oh, no we sold it. She didn't know. Mysteriously that car was back online three days later. Such a scam to get people in the door!!!!

Very deceptive and deceiving. After negotiation for final cash price the manager and salesman both said yes. The salesman leaves and sends the finance guy who starts telling us financing options. We told him we are not financing and he looked at us strange and said that wasn't an option. The salesman comes back and said he wasn't aware the Internet price is financing only. He's only been working their for 10 years to NOT know and neither did the manager. From talking to a representative at their call center. They get $1200 per car that do financing but they won't admit to that.

The whole team went above and beyond. It was a great experience.
Made it extremely clear that I would be using my bank, they threw me this offer I drove 3.5 hrs and first thing out my mouth when I walked in was I’m using my own bank. They still tried to get me to apply for a loan by stating “Registration purposes” but obviously that doesn’t need my financial record. Before attempting to get the truck they wouldn’t drop down to $53,500. So I lost interest as they didn’t wanna drop $1,000 to assist with taxes. A week later they dropped the price online I called as it’s lower then I offered, seemed like a done deal as the manager signed off on it. But then after arriving they said I could only take that price if I go through them.” Being a Navy Veteran I wanted to use USAA but they didn’t like that and the finance manager or whoever came out sat down and said “I did you a favor by dropping the price, you should just use our banks, I stated you actually didn’t drop the price for me as I lost interest in the vehicle earlier and they dropped the price on

They sold the car at advertised price without surprise fees - but only if you took lousy interest rates through their in house financing. Standard dealer practices of trying to sell you wildly over priced warranties and financial products at the Finance office.

The sales person ( Shaun) was argumentative over the product. I simply said I had found a 2022 Chevy with very low miles and cheaper than his 2019 with more miles. He did not believe it was possible, and basically called me a liar and there was no way possible. So, I went and bought the 2022. !

Met with Justin to test drive a 2016 Wrangler. The dealership grounds were neat, clean, the lot was organized, ample cars were on the lot, and the one we wanted to test drive was already in place and clean. Justin was cordial, knowledgeable and professional. We made an offer, came to terms, and the entire process was smooth, efficient, and professional. We love the Jeep we bought; got the price we wanted and left the lot very satisfied. The amenities at the dealership were pretty standard, but the real highlights were the cleanliness, the cordiality of everyone, and we got what we wanted without feeling like we'd been drug through the mud after. It was a no pressure, low stress purchase for us. It's been a long time since I could say that we had a pleasant time buying a car.

Dealer did respond. My overall experience was really less than expected. After inquiring about the vehicle I was informed that unless I pay cash for TT&L bc I was out of state and they use a third party for that process. I assured that my bank wouldn't have a problem with this or cutting 2 checks since I was having it financed. Their response was if I'm not paying cash we can't make a deal. So thanks but no thanks!

My experience was horrible. I drove 3 and a half hours to look at it and they didn’t even have the unit on location. We started negotiations and the first price they gave me was about $5k more than asking price.The advertised price of $36k and some change was a rude tactic to get you in.
I wanted to see the unit and it was explained to me that it was still at auction. During the process of them getting it to the dealership, they were told it developed some fuel system issues.
I was so disappointed and frustrated that I left.
The dealerships are playing a new game so pay attention.

It was great in till I drove away with the truck in hand. I was in a big rush to see a family member who is in town. I later found a a big cigarette burn in the passenger seat. I hadn’t seen it before because the salesman was sitting there during the test drive. He also sat there while I got out and looked at the interior. I never received my floor mats. I’ve called and sent emails about both. Never received an answer.

People were great
Was contacted fast. Scheduled a viewing & test. Great looking dealership & everyone very pleasant. Our Salesman was Jay - nice guy. When walking out to view the car it was apparent very quickly that it is poc-marked by hail damage front to back. I was bummed out because I love the color and it is what I'm looking for (or was as I have secured this very vehicle elsewhere), Jay looked a bit humiliated, perhaps shocked as I don't think that he had been made aware of the damage. I know that soliciting the vehicle as hail damaged isn't going to draw huge crowds unless it's marked down substantially but driving 30+ miles to view what appears to be a vehicle in great condition is somewhat disappointing. I learned in this particular instance that if using a phone app, be sure to blow your screen up really large and you will see finer details. The bad part for consumers is that the dealership can legally and rightfully say, "we were fully transparent, we hid nothing, we showed you". They did.

If you’re looking for an honest dealership, avoid this place at all cost. I set up an appointment at 7:30 on a Wednesday with Rod. Rod was nice and confirmed the appointment at 4:30 that same day. My husband and I went out of our way to go to the dealership and when we arrived they had us take a seat in Beth’s cubicle while she allegedly went to get Rod. She came back without him and with paperwork and said he went home so she would be helping us. She was not friendly at all. She asked us questions and for my drivers license and then said she would be right back while she checked if the vehicle was still available. She came back and it was gone. So in the THREE HOURS between our confirmation call and appointment time the car apparently had been sold. They did not feel they needed to call and tell us that the one vehicle I was interested in had sold, they had us still drive all the way out there and get to our appointment only to find there was no car. Ridiculous.

The salesman and the guy that helped me sign all my docs were awesome, the finance managers are the ones you have to watch. Pay attention to the pricing on the website and when they present the offer.. ask questions about the fees before you agree to anything! Definitely saved me $4000!

Horrible experience. Arrived at the dealer with sales person Paris Robinson who I repeated a million times NOT TO RUN MY CREDIT, and still went ahead to run it to pressure me to "hold the vehicle for me" when I said I was not ready. it was 72,900 online got there and tried to charge me almost 8000 dollars more with dealer addendums for not financing in-house. I was there for 2 hours when it was just suppose to be a test drive and to get a PO, apparently he couldn't give me that either. Before leaving he took his sweet time to find my driver's license which he kept asking me if I'm sure he didn't give it back to me. Finally he found it after walking around and talking to the entire dealership. Will never do business with them.

Just got done leaving the dealership, I drove 3 hours there and now I’m having to drive 3 hours back with nothing. They had the vehicle I wanted posted on their site and on car gurus for a certain price and when I got there and was ready to buy they said they had to add an extra $2500-2700 for a reconditioning fee that they never mentioned on their site or anywhere until I got there. Nate was cool tho and very helpful. Other than that the dealership lied about their price.

I walked into dealership and was immediately greeted. I had an appointment so I was seen immediately. I knew I wanted this car so I u weed to the dealership knowing that it would be mine. Adrian B. Assisted me and he was absolutely amazing. I ended up paying $200 less on the deposit and my notes will be cheaper. I absolutely love this purchase. What a great Bday present to myself. You won't get this price going in to dealer. Surprise! It's actually $2k more due to a "addendum". Be ready to sit at the dealership for hours arguing just to try and get the price that they themselves are advertising. They're ready and willing to throw cargurus under the bus and raise they're hands up as if they're have no recourse for anything "cargurus" lists. It's a Bait and switch, the ethics of which I'm not a fan.

I was given an appointment to test drive the vehicle 24 hrs in advance. Drove 135 miles to Arlington and test drove the truck, but when we were getting ready to purchase the vehicle, we were told that it was sold the prior Wednesday - 6 days before I was given an appointment! I wrote the General Manager and the sales rep, but neither bothered to write me back. The ONLY positive experience was the young man who assisted us with the test drive. Needless to say, I will NEVER do business with Vandergriff Chevrolet again! I'd give them a minus 5 stars if it was a available rating!!!!

Vandergriff Chevrolet completely dropped the ball on my experience. My salesman stopped all communication. One of the managers never responded. I spoke to a different manager and she never responded. Her manager of a different department contacted me. He never responded. I would not recommend Vandergriff Chevrolet to anyone unless you want to talk to four different people while being ignored throughout the process.

Traded two vehicles in on the Trail Boss. The trade in prices they first offered weren’t great but after some haggling they came around and got a lot closer to what I needed. Gave me a great price on the new truck! If price is what your looking for on a new vehicle, this is the place to go!

Do not trust these guys. Bill Valk the sales guy seemed nice but in the end just another untrust worthy sales man. They raised the price of the car from. 6999 to 9600. With false claims of adding window tint and put new tires on the car.
The car needs tires and the windows were dirty inside and out. He they said you cant trust CarGurus listings. After we talked last night the price on cargurus changed from 6999 to 7382 more deception.
I did my research, made an appointment, and went to Vandergriff. The car I wanted was listed as a 4WD on Car Gurus, but it wasn't, but the price seemed too low for a 4WD. When I got there I found that it was not, but I didn't want a 4WD which was great. The car was in great shape, I got what I wanted, in my estimation the rating should have dropped from Great to Good, but I was very pleased and got the 4Runner anyway.I traded my old 4Runner in and got low retail, which is what I expected. There were no games. They honored the Car Gurus price, they gave me what I expected to get for my trade, and I drove away in less than 2 hours total time including a test drive. I have a great credit rating and was pre-approved, but they beat that by nearly a whole percentage point. I was blown away. For me, there was no beating you down tactics. They figured out that I knew what I was doing and just sold me the car. Overall it was a great experience. I plan to go back to buy a new pickup.

The sales person Ashley was great the only problem i had was having to wait 5 days after purchase for recall etc.. But they delivered it to me at my job which is great i guess im only upset that i was late to work all week haha. I just thought all the recalls detailing etc would have been taken care of prior but regardless i would definitely come back they bent over backwards to help me get financed which i more than appreciate overall. Friendly staff, price was drastically different. Went from 21k up to 27k b/c of 6k worth of service fees. Sticker shock was real.
They contacted me quickly and every person that I spoke with was courteous and professional. That's about where the positives end.
First of all, they had pulled the wrong car that was about $5k more than the one I called on. I guess we can assume that this was an honest mistake. Then, I test drove a car that was really dirty (I realize it was a "fresh trade") but why list the car and have someone drive it when you haven't even checked it out yourself? They hadn't inspected or cleaned it, made sure it was safe, nor did they really know anything about the car itself.
Again, very polite folks, but I would definitely not go back.

They are scam artists who will rip off whoever will let them get away with it. They made me a
low ball offer on my trade and when I said no and not to contact me again, someone else called
me back. I once again said do not contact me again so then someone emailed me to offer me
$2000 more. Why weren't they fair to begin with? Because they cheat people. That's why. I am
also VERY angry that when on the phone I told them twice I didn't want to do business with

I saw this vehicle on CarGurus site. I requested information from the dealership to see if it was still available for sale. I received a response from a internet sales manager advising it was. I drove over to the dealership during my lunch hour but much to my surprise after arriving an assistant went searching for the truck and returned sometime later stating the vehicle was being inspected and wouldn't be ready for showing until later. It would've been nice had I were told in-advance. I wasted my time, lunch, paid toll fees, etc. I really expected more from Vangergriff Chevrolet of Arlington but got far less.

1st day listed $13,250, a great deal! Made appointment to test drive. Drove it, found a large crack in dashboard. Was told $1200 to fix. Went home, texted an offer of $14,000 cash & trade-in. Next day suv listed $15,999. Wouldn’t have wasted mine and their time on just a fair price! Won’t be going back there!

The pricing was a bit miss-leading in that
the price listing only posted base model
prices pertaining to new vehicles. You real
need to pay attention and account for to
the options/features available per vehicle
listed. Only listing the base price, causes
the customer to examine the fine details
closer and perform the accounting for each
additional option per vehicle. I found this
to be challenging because in many cases
my accounting did not equate to the listing
price on the site. In some cases, the actual
price could found by visiting the dealership
website however not in each specific
vehicle search. Recommendation: Match
actual listed price on per new vehicle
without additional options listed separately
and match with dealership listed price on
their website. Making pricing more
transparent allows customers searches to
be more convenient which is value added
in the form of time saved in the already
lengthy car buying process. BLUF: Better
pricing transparency is required.

E-mailed and text conversations with internet sales department wet well, price was aggregable and financing was reasonable. Got to the dealership and right away I was handed off to a floor salesperson, test drove the truck and all went well. Get to the contract and nothing on the contract was what I was told it would be, the price and financing were totally wrong. When I questioned this I was told they couldn't abide by what I was told by the internet department salesperson. I left the dealership after wasting my morning.

While the dealer was responsive, the information they provided about the vehicle (such as options and packages) was not. Ultimately, this turned out to be a huge time waster when I found out the vehicle was missing a key package and I did find out until after I went to the dealership. This was frustrating and very much a deal breaker.
The dealer was also slow to do everything once I arrived. A simple test drive took an hour to get start, with an appointment. I would not recommend Vandergriff Chevrolet.
Before I headed to the dealership I asked if there was any body damage or other issues with the truck, since I was driving about 50 miles to come see it. The sales person sent me pics and they all looked great. I got off work early drove out to find a ton of issues wrong with this truck. Scratches, scrapes and a huge dent with a lot of paint missing on top of the cab. Also someone had a truck bed cover previously attached and the plastic was smashed into the bed rail(dented in), one of the fender flares isn't attached correctly / damaged. When I asked if the truck could be discounted, they said they apologized but they can't do anything about it. Then a week later the salesman calls me and tells me the "market" went down if I still wanted the truck. The price dropped $1,000. This is a very disappointing experience, unfortunately not uncommon. I feel the customer service experience was very poor. I'm sure they would just respond to this with an apology but that doesn't mean anyting.

My dealer experience was amazing. Texted me about this car and helped me through it for about a week before hand. It was a 3 hour drive and when I told them I was on my way they texted me about 10 minutes before I arrived and had the car out front for me. Then texted me right as I got home and asked if I made it home! I would definitely deal with them again. Lesha Parks was awesome! They answered every single question I had.

I contacted the dealer about this car, they responded quickly and we set up and appointment. I told them where I was coming from, about
an hour and half away. On the day of the appointment I arrived on time and was greeted by someone I hadn't spoken with, told them who I
was there to see and he told me that the person I had been speaking with and made an appointment with wasn't a salesman but their
internet guy but they were on the same team and he would help me. I told him what car I had viewed on CarGurus and he went looking for
it. He came back and explained he couldn't find it "there" so he would look in another area. After some time he returned to inform me that
the car had been sold two day prior. I was a little shocked that they would do something like that but I allowed him to show me other
vehicles, all of which were way out of my price range. I then realized I had been 'bait and switched' by this scam of a company. DO NOT
RECOMMEND to anyone.

I can say they're all doing it. You inquire about a vehicle and they call you all day. But when you get there it the same old routine. Hi Bob didn't we sell the black truck, oh yes we did Jack.Well I have another with less miler but more MONEY. But it's funny to me because the truck I was inquiring about was overpriced. They should be courteous enough to call when they sell the ghost vehicle But I will say it's not just this dealer all of them use the same trick.

I forwarded an offer to the dealer, twice. I did not hear back from them. I
called them then was told they are very aggressive in their "on line" pricing

Even though the truck had been on CarGurus is for over 40 days, it only had 7 miles on it and wouldn't be released from the loaner program for at least another three months. I was promised that they had similar vehicles for a similar price on site. A quote for a similar vehicle came back $7000 higher. This dealer uses these vehicles for the old bait and switch routine. AVOID VANDERGRIFF CHEVROLET!!!

I called up to the dealership to inquire about this vehicle and said I could come up and test drive it. So they set me up a time and I show up and find out it’s in the shop and the mechanic that was working on it (doing oil change and whatever else) had left for the day. So I had driven an hour to test drive this truck that wasn’t even ready to test drive when they had told me it was. And on top of that, the sales man the manager set me up with was either new or hated his job becuase he really didn’t seem that interested in selling this truck to me or for that matter helpful to me at all. The salesman was also suppose to call me back whenever it was done and ready to be sold and he never did and sold the truck to someone else.

very unprofessional. Daisy called and when i asked for info on the truck all
she wanted was a credit app filled out. We were disconnected - one week
later after calling back and leaving messages - she started out with credit app

One of the worst dealership experiences I’ve ever had. This says a lot, considering I’m an old “car-dog” myself. I was extremely interested in the zr2! So I sent in the lead. Me knowing the run-a-round that I may endure - I sent in informantion about my trade (which I already knew it’s value). I have a TRD pro on order. Well I received a generic email, followed by another generic email asking me info about my trade that I had already sent about. I replied, while in the midst of that. I got off of work early so I came home to change and pick up my wife so I could test drive the zr2. Now this probably took 45 mins - no reply. So we take the hour commute to the dealership. When we got to the dealership NOBODY helped me. When I say nobody, I mean we must have walked by 15-20 people and NOBODY said a peep to us. There was a group looking at the new Vette and more concerned about that instead of helping us. So we found the ZR2 on the showroom looked at for about 30 mins. Walked to our car. Decided I really liked it and wanted to test drive it. So I swallowed my pride and went to a salesman - sitting doing nothing and asked for a test drive. Well him doing nothing was more important. So he passed me on to another guy. This guy knew nothing about the truck (which I did - so no big) but he allowed us to drive on a god awful empty diesel truck (which I told him was bad - “but he likes to gamble”). anyways that took 45ish minutes. So we drove back the hr, showered, and was making lunch to than get a response on my trade. They offered me nearly 8k lower. Tbh I replied back about how low it was and how crappy of a job she did (which imo she needs training-actually the whole dealership as a whole needs it.) and never received a response. The funny part about all of this is. I was a buyer and was going to back out my TRD pro deal for this. But my experience lead me right back to the pro. Thanks Vandergriff for having such terribly trained people in my process. From one car dogg that was pretty good at what he did. You guys need some help. Lots of it imo

Over he phone they were very responsive. Made an appointment to drive it and told them I was 2.5 hours away from them. Driving into the dealership they called to tell me that it was sold but to come on in and look around. They never called to let me know they were trying to sell it to someone else. When I came in they were rude in person and just said it happens. Completely different experience after they had sold the vehicle. They got what they wanted so who cares about the customer.

I left a comment for them not to call before 3pm, I work overnights and sleep
during the day, the next day while I was asleep they called starting at 9am
the at 11am then again at 2pm.. I tried calling back but the person that called
me was not available, so I left a message with the same instructions to not
call before 3pm.. next day same exact times, same person I left the message
to not call before 3pm, they were not even sure what truck I was looking for
and tried to get me to come look at some cars... no I am looking for a truck,
after a few messages I have decided not to do business this company, the
one star is due to the fact that I only dealt with one person and they were not
very professional and I feel they were just fishing for a lead and not
contacting me with my vehicle inquiry

In order to make up for their over the top low price, they low balled me on my trade by $4500. I did my research prior to coming in to the dealership, as well as had my car appraised at another dealership. When I reached out to management...They never called me back. Was present a dirty car. Said he didn't have time to wash it
so he just rinsed it down. Then the sales agent tells me that
he has another appointment shortly like telling us we are
done after I told him that the car was not as the pictures
showed. The car hadn't even been through ispection yet.
Sales agent was full of himself. Not the way to make a sale.

Horrible experience! Made an appointment to look at 1 car(which I called & asked if salesperson knew car was still available,she said yes I can see the car )she ,couldn't find the car ,finally found ,then couldn't find the key.The minute we got there,they handed us a credit report form BEFORE we test drove car,had not even looked at car yet!Spent over 2 hours there ,waste of time ! They also emailed and called several times to verify our appointment in the 1 1/2 after I made appointment -it was really frustrating they kept confirming.I have credit score of 795,had been preapproved by my credit union,had $7,000 to put down & they still tried to get all my financial information before I even test drove a car.I am 24 yrs old ,Thank Goodness someone was with me that told me not to let them run my credit right off the bat!

It was a pleasure working with my salesman Austin, he had to play chauffeur for me to drop off my U-Haul truck, then again to the Bank, the entire experience was probably the single easiest for buying a car ever! I highly recommend Vandergriff internet service, and especially Austin!

Second purchase from this dealer and a bit disappointed at this point. We got home late the night of purchasing to find that the vehicle was missing equipment that the dealer clearly stated was installed on this vehicle. We are now waiting to see how they try to resolve the issues we have found.
