I would like to rate this dealership, a one star because I had a pending sale due to inaccurate documentation on their end and they were getting it fixed and going to reach out to me and they sold the truck out from under me without notifying me or anything and I had cash in hand to purchase the deal, but unfortunately, with the documentation being incorrect, they had to fix it before I could purchase And once they sold the deal then they called me so I was very unpleased and very unsatisfied

The people were very nice and welcoming. However the car the show has no damage. But it was damaged and someone like spray painted over the damage. I told them if they get another one please contact me.
My mother and I went to look at a couple of vehicles that there listed on this site. 1st off, the "dealership" looked like a an office building with severe suites inside, and NO cars parked out front. I had to call and make sure that I was in the right place. A guy named Mike came around to meet me, and I told about the 2 vehicles that I was interested in. He had to call and have then brought from a different location that was 5 minutes away. I was able to test drive both vehicles, afterwards I told him that I need to talk with my mother and decide which one I was going to purchase. He took the vehicles around the back of the building, and NEVER showed back up! I was out there l for over 5 mins trying to figure out where this man went. There was no one to ask for him. I even walked inside the building, and no one was there. How does a person try selling a car, but isn't around when the customer want to talk. After 5 mins of waiting for him to show back up, which he NEVER did, I left.

Took it for a test drive and noticed a scraping sound coming from the front passenger side wheel brakes. I mentioned it and was told they would have a mechanic look at it and call me back for another test drive. They never called me back, I assume it was because they didn't want to fix it and they could probably find someone to buy it who couldn't notice it. I would have most likely bought it if they would have done what they said they would do.

We went to see this vehicle but didn’t get it it was NICE but a bit smaller than what we needed , but we saw another vehicle that they had and purchased it , it was a Ford Expedition ! But service was Great !! No complaints

Southern Star is a smaller car lot but they seem to work hard to get their customers' business
and carry quality used vehicles for the most part. I had a good experience overall and purchased
the vehicle after my test drive. Their financing options can be limited so it is a good idea to have
something lined up before you decide to purchase here. Otherwise I would suggest them for a
hassle free purchase experience. At no point did I feel pressured or rushed and they provided
information and history reports without me having to ask. I communicated with David and he
helped me almost the entire way through the purchase. Make sure to ask questions and they will
be answered.

This was a horrible experience. I was contacted about a Mini Cooper they had for sale. We agreed on a price, I contacted my credit union, they gave me the loan. Next morning the dealership tells me “the car was sold to someone else” this was responsible and racket. I’ll never do business with these guys again

As a courtesy we offer to hold a vehicle 24 hours with a refundable 500 deposit, when clients choose not to they run the risk of missing out. Polite, responsive, but may be limited in their knowledge of the cars. The vehicle I went to see was listed as minor accident reported. Whole car was riddled with dings and scratches and somehow this "minor" accident created issues with the dash alignment on the inside. Not worth the potential issues.
My salesperson was useless! Not only did have to always get up with her, she knew NOTHING about the car. When I got to the dealership this morning at 9:30 she wasn’t even there yet. She was running late like she was doing since the moment I saw this car. Not only that but somebody at their dealership had Covid and I couldn’t even go in side to sign the papers. No one told me that as well. I rented a car to drive there from my home in North Carolina and when I dropped my rental car off, they couldn’t even find someone to pick me up! I had to pay for my own Uber back to their car lot! She never offered to explain anything about the car because she didn’t know anything!

Shannon, We have a software that is programmed to follow up for 20 days after initial contact. We set it up that way in case our staff misses a follow up. Each email and text we send out has our office number in case you need to get a hold of us, many times emails go to spam unable to reach clients. We have added aditional lenders to try to cover all the financing needs of our clients. We re sorry we were not able to connect this time around.

Southern Star and namely, Ron were a delight to deal with. Buying a used car is
always a headache but Ron was forthcoming in every way. As we bought online and
sent POMCAR for an onsite inspection, small cracks in the windshield were not noted
on the initial report. Ron saw to it that we were hooked up with a new windshield as
soon as we told him of our discovery. We will be returning to Southern Star for our next
vehicle for sure. He was as affable and friendly as one could ask for and removed all
the angst of buying a used vehicle. Bravo Ron! I'll Keep coming back!

Ronny responded timely. I was traveling through the town n I was 15 min away when he contacted me. He accommodated me on such short notice n had the vehicle waiting when I pulled up. Team is very conscience n prepared with respect to social distancing during this unusual time. I took the vehicle for a drive n inspection. When I returned, I told Ronny that I was getting the approval from my other half n would have to wait. He understood n obliged without hesitation. Upon my drive, I got the approval n was able to put a deposit on it remotely n I received a receipt quickly. We coordinated my arrival throughout the next day. I was able to return with full payment, paperwork was quick n easy, n vehicle cleaned ready to go. The vehicle is great n price was right. I felt no pressure n 'safe' at all points in the process. I was taken to a screened in porch at rear of the building to be socially distanced when signing the paperwork. The business has went well beyond. Thank you.

I found Southern Star Automotive on cargurus.com. I purchased a 2013 Fiat from Southern Star. when i got it home, i saw the seat belt latches were missing from the back
seat. when i took the car for emissions, it failed. i took the car back to Southern Star for repairs and borrowed another vehicle from Southern Star: a VW ee that clangs at
70mph. i did not feel safe driving it.
after 3 weeks and little info about the status of the Fiat, i learned the car required a new computer. i asked for my my money back. Maricela, the manager, said she would
refund my money only if i removed a negative google review AND signed a "hold harmless" release form. when i showed up to pick up my belongings from
the car, as well as sign, the info on the document was incorrect; i did not sign. the receptionist wrote a check anyway. the dealership placed a stop order on the check,
which left me with no loaner, no Fiat and no $7k....
AWFUL EXPERIENCE.
Very friendly dealership! The associate was knowledgeable amd patient. My family and I test drove the vehicle with our children to be able to get the full experience. My only con is they were focusing on the retail value of the vehicle when it sold new to try to use it as a selling point which is completely irrelevant and the car was way overpriced. The pro is ALL of their vehicles are well kept and clean unlike some of the other dealerships we've gone to where the interior is dirty and dusty.

Our vehicles command a lot of attention because they are high demand low supply vehicles. Often times we have that happen where we will have two or three customers on the lot trying to buy the same car. Its a first come first serve basis. Contacted dealer stated I would come by after work to look at vehicle, called prior to going only to be told an "employee" is driving the car home & was gone for the day & to call back the next morning. Really, wait on it, you should call ME, you're in sales I'm not! Overall very unprofessional I would NEVER do business with this dealer. Perhaps, the "employee" can buy the car since it's used for joy riding! Happy I didn't waste anymore of my time with this place, if they treat potential customers this way "prior" to a purchase I can only imagine the lack of service afterwards. The salesman, Ronnie, and the support staf at
Southern Starf were all very knowledgeable and
professional. Also the office and grounds are well-
maintained and all the cars are clean. The dealership

what I wanted for my new car! Good folks to deal with, the
only issue I had was with getting the title - took longer than

instead. I appreciate that the cars are
sold as is and that I purchased the 2 yr.
extended warranty, but I would have
appreciated them standing behind a
small problem that occurred in less
than a week of owning the vehicle.
Don't honest sellers take care of that
kind of thing before offering a car for
sale anyway? Slightly disappointed, but
still enjoying my roomy vehicle and will
still recommend them.

While you went on a test drive in the Nissan Titan a cooling hose that goes from the radiator to the transmission broke. This caused a chain reaction and caused internal damage to the transmission due to the fact that the truck continued to be driven when this took place.
