They were asking $7000 over MSRP for a 2023 SS 1LE, which in my opinion is excessive. List was $53,550, and they were asking $60,500.

Contacted 4/22 requesting availability. Decided to drive out instead of waiting for response. Sales rep informed me vehicle sold two weeks ago. While onsite I received a response to my email. Internet sales rep indicated vehicle is still available and asked to schedule time for visit. Today, 4/26, vehicle is still advertised. This is classic baiting to get you to visit dealership.

Ron Ridden Jr. was the one that responded made an appointment for Saturday. Car sold the night before which I found out the next a company called Westlake financial had purchased two daya listed again on the website inqiried and no on responded. Needless to say Don brought out Jose the inventory person I was very clear I was looking for a Honda CRZ So I get asked yo give Jose 15 mins more of my time to go look at his inventory down the road.. In the mean time I had my son go talk to the new salesman he said no we have all inventory out in this parking lot only. So when my son came and told me. To my surprise Jose come up and tells I have CR V in stock. I was clear about CR-Z oh I miss understood. I said clearly you didn't listen very well. Thanks for wasting my time. Clearly I was being jammed up. Sometime honesty is the best policy with some who knows what yhey want.

Car was previously sold at $40,000 over MSRP, but remained on inventory list at MSRP!!! Car remains on dealers inventory despite fact it was sold two weeks ago.

This car has been at this dealership for quite some time I was very interested in the car but the dealership did not indicate to me that they actually want to sell it. I indicated that I was going to come along ways and wanted to know if there was any room to negotiate with the price of the car and they said no. I’ve seen the price drop and drop on the car where it could’ve been sold, but that’s probably the reason it’s been there so long and it has to do with finance managers not willing to budge until they realized the car is been there for quite some time and no one is asking. I recently purchased the car around the same price from a dealership in San Diego who I was very happy with and they got the job done .

LaPrincess is very professional. We are in negotiations now. I am preapproved through my bank, but they still wanted me to complete an application, which I thought was out of place. The car itself is in good condition, if I get it at the price I want, I will be satisfied.

Actually, I went in and purchased a different Juke at Sullivan Chevrolet. The salesman, Jimmy, was excellent and so was the middle man. However when the negotiating started and it went to the Manager for deal approval, I was almost forced a bunch of ridiculous charges. One was paint protection, then dent protection and then lojack. I was told your policy is to install lojack on all vehicles to keep people from stealing your vehicles at Roseville. Why are the purchasers forced to carry the cost when it has to do with your need to protect your vehicles from theft? It should be the consumers choice if we want Lojack, but in every sale at John L. Sullivan, we get Lojack. Who is going to steal a Juke? As for the negotiations, please stop sending the middle man back and forth as it honestly almost cost you the sale. Circling numbers, playing good salesman, bad salesman, etc. led me and my family to get into my vehicle to leave until the middle man ran out with the best deal. I literally had to demand dent protection be taken off, that Lojack be reduced and that I did not want the paint and window protection. That stuff doesn't work anyway as the last car I had, I still had to have the windshield acid and steel wool brushed to get the hard water stains off of it. I know you all are in the business of making money. However, I don't care how much you make. It was a used car which means you bought it at the auction wholesale or took it in on a trade. Please don't tell me you are only going to make $100 on the sale. At other dealerships, they actually brought me the sheet out to show me how much they gave on trade for a vehicle or paid at the auction. Set fair prices that will bring you fair return, don't hamstring your customers to buy Lojack, dent protection and paint protection and see the customer as a human being with a need rather than a means to a financial end.

Terrible dealership. They are at least $2000 more on the closest competition. Would not budge even $100 and I offered them over $40k cash. Trust me there are plenty of dealerships not far from John L Sullivan. Even if you live in Roseville, it’s worth driving somewhere else because you will get a better deal. Thank CarGuru and all the other online vehicle websites for keeping dealerships like this one honest. If it wasn’t for CarGuru I wouldn’t have known that John L Sullivan had their car listed for almost $5k higher than market value. All of their vehicles pretty much had the same mark up. Trust me they do not have good deals and don’t let them convince you they do. And on top of their high prices they have terrible customer service. When I called to get some info on a car this guy Felipe refused to give me any info over the phone and tried to convince me that he would give me a good deal if I came down there. Waste of time dealing with these people.

When I got there for my prescheduled appointment, they had already sold the van. There was a communication breakdown Between the people working there. So when I got there they tried to offer me a van I did not want. But they said they would put me on a list in case another pro master 1500 became available. They were very nice but it was a bummer to make the trip for nothing

Timely in their response. Plenary of options to choose from. Visited dealership on a Thursday and ultimately purchased a Tahoe LTZ. Salesman was great. The financial paperwork process was a little slow all personnel involved was great to work with. Got a great savings.

When i walked in, the dealership was crowded!! Lots of people. I was impresesed with the sandwich bar & starbucks area. popcorn machine too. The sales people were friendly & very helpful. My salesman was personable , friendly & helped to get me a good price for the car. The only complaint i have is that he did not know anything about the car i purchased. i asked questions about certain operations of the car & he didnt know. i realize the car i bought was not a chevorlet (it was a chevorlet dealership) , but being that the car was on their lot & being sold as a used car, he (they) should be able to tell me how to operate the options on the car. so i drove off not knowing how things worked...... i know theres an owners manual but he should have still been able to tell me basics & option operations of the car. otherwise my experience there was positive.

Was negotiating on a vehicle which was sold a week earlier and salesman did not know it. He was pleasant, but obviously incompetent or the inventory management was seriously seriously flawed. Makes one wonder if there have been vehicles stolen and they just don't know it yet.

Purchased the vehicle on 09/01/16 transaction was quick and easy. Only thing I'm not happy about is not giving me a full tank of gas, they gave me less than 1/4. Also, after playing with some of the trip computers I saw that the oil life was at 80% so no simple oil change was done. Little things but should be done by any seller regardless of who they are.

My husband And I had a great experience buying our new Tahoe at the dealership. We live in the Bay Area and at first thought we would be able to get the best deal around the bay ,but After searching the web and calling about 15 dealers we decided to head to the Roseville chevy dealer. The entire staff was very courteous and helpful. Our salesmen was very helpful and after a lot of research we can honestly say we got the best deal around. I would recommend John L Sullivan chevy in Roseville for anyone looking for a car .

The dealership finally responded after 4 days. I asked for a specific color and I was told they didn't have it. My opinion of them was that they wanted me to go somewhere else. I have bought quite a few cars in my lifetime, and in regards to John L Sullivan I was and I guess I should put a strong emphasis on was, as I will never go back in their again. I was going to contact to contact the dealership manager to show him the joke e-mail's I received but I figured why bother, as he/she probably wouldn't care. I also don't trust there pricing on Car Guru's as I have a feeling that if I went to the dealership I probably wouldn't get the price they were advertising. I am aware there are truth in advertising laws, unfortunately these laws are quite often skirted around by slick attorneys. I am also aware there are programs that discover and try to eliminate negative reviews about companies, unfortunately everything I said to my knowledge is truthful. I was a repeat customer, I purchased a Toyota Matrix from Roseville Toyota in May 2006, which is a part of the John L Sullivan group and I received a great deal and service, unfortunately this didn't happen this time. This was a true "horse trading" experience. When we first started our negotiation we were thousands of dollars apart. By the end of 2-3 hours of hard negotiations, I got my "new" vehicle within $500 of what I had intended to pay when I walked in the door. I am very pleased.

Vehicles way over priced. Salesmen say the price is "negotiable" but in the end, when you tell them you have a budget, what the max is, why can they not find you a vehicle in that range (and when they do why is it always in horrible condition)? You're better off going else where with your time and money.

They have huge dealer packs added to the window sticker price on Volts. When I first arrived the salesman told me they had 15 new Volts in stock and that I had definitely come to the right place! When I asked if I could purchase a Volt at ticker price or below, the same salesman told me "No" because they were very hard to get and that there was such great demand that there were only 3 Volts left for sale. This took all of 3 minutes. If Chevy Volts are selling at a rate of 12 every 3 minutes at their dealership, I can certainly understand why they would never sell one at sticker price! Then again, the salesman just might possibly have been lying. If you enjoy having your intelligence insulted, being lied to along with high pressure sales (they turn you over to a high pressure expert called a "closer" after the original salesperson makes you un-written promises and then disappears). John L.Sullivan in Roseville is a classic example of the kind of dealership that makes the car buying experience annoying, maddening and frustrating.
