Ms. Anne, we are very sorry to hear that you had a disappointing purchase experience. It is definitely something the McConnell family has tried to provide their customers for more than 62 years now. I would like to briefly address the two concerns you brought up: firstly, while our consultants are only able to get the manufacturer-certified  training on two makes--Buick and GMC, they definitely should learn enough about any models we sell, in order to help our buying customers get comfortable and confident with his/her new purchase. I would like to briefly address the two concerns you brought up: firstly, while our consultants are only able to get the manufacturer-certified  training on two makes--Buick and GMC, they definitely should learn enough about any models we sell, in order to help our buying customers get comfortable and confident with his/her new purchase. And if this did not occur, we failed, and we are truly sorry for that. Secondly, it is not that we are "interested" in telling you or any other customer about a vehicle--due to age and/or miles being out of manufacturer warranty. It is actually both our company policy and our legal responsibility to do so. Our consultants are required to both explain to a customer that the vehicle is out of warranty, and also to have them sign a form to that effect.  We do not ever want our customers leaving here thinking they have something that they in fact do not. I am very sorry to hear about your disappointing experience. I have reached out to the internet manager and the other parties involved in this, to try and understand what occurred here. It is just as you said, with one important missing item. They should have explained fully to you that, since you apparently chose not to give a deposit, we were unable to hold the vehicle. I do not know the details of your offer without having more information; however, the majority of our pre-owned inventory is priced even below--rather than equal to our regional market. Therefore, the upfront Internet price simply must be very competitive--definitely below Retail "sticker." This is also the primary reason that any trade-in number must be a wholesale number.
